I just waxed my 2021 Prius Prime Limited Spirited Aqua Metallic (Blue Magnetism) with Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine, including all the glass, plastic trim, and wheels. I didn't wax the tire rubber. It is a top-rated spray-on-and-wipe wax on Dmitry's Garage. It took a lot longer than I expected to even the wax. The actual color is aqua, but it's hard to get it right on the camera. The under-hood picture is very close to the actual color under sunlight.
it's that wax applied while the car is wet ? I've started using the turtle wax "wax n shine" that instructs to apply while wet. it adds maybe five minutes to the application and another five to the wiping clean. the result is very slippery, makes the next wash very easy.
No, the carwash place applies several hot/wet/rainbow/sealer waxes. This is regular protective wax that is applied when the car is completely dry.
Best color! I used to use Collinite 845. Just wanted an easy to use wax that also was super long lasting (wax 2x/yr). Recently also made the switch to the Turtle wax you use. Found that it takes just about as long though! Don't have to wait for it to haze, but the application and removal is still about the same as the Collinite, which is faster than paste wax at least.
Wow, @MTN, you've got the 2021 Spirited Aqua Metallic, too? This is great! The best color choice for the Prius Prime by far. The color came out fairly accurately in your photos. Yeah, Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine takes a long time to even out. However, Dmitry's Garage says that it lasts for 21 washes; so, it is good. According to Dmitry's Garage, Collinite 845 is hard to use, offers no UV protection, and lasts for only nine washes as opposed to Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine's 21; therefore, you're a lot better off with Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine.
Klasse All-in-One then Klasse High Gloss Sealant glaze then Collinite 845 (after waiting 12 hours for the Klasse to set).
