Featured Immobilizer icon flashing

    2020 phev prime. I feel like I missed something after owner this car for 10 month. Today I noticed the immobilizer icon on when I turned car off. Never saw this before. It turns off when I start ignition and drive. Just seems weird that it’s on when car is off and or locked. Help - with my confusion.

    Its job is to make sure no one else but someone with the correct FOBs can start the car... Once the car starts with correct FOB its job is done and it turns off. Thus it turns on when you turn the car off...

    That excuse works for those of us at or near senior status. But young folks need some other excuse.
