With 7 billion plus people in the world and food being a basic requirement, how do you feed the masses (I know we fall short due to availability in many locales)?

Science has produced amazing results over the years and continues to. We want to make a difference and want to provide solutions to problems.

yes science ha done alot but are you familiar with the east anglia emails showing how much of a fraud the science has become with the corruption running from university on down to the scientist with government intermingled .... greta posterchild was an attempt to prop up

I was in the military, so vaccines are "settled science" as far as I am concerned....going all the way back to the late 1700's.
Frankly, I'm thinking that all of the drama about this vaccine is vastly overblown.


Let's compare it with a smallpox vaccination:
The first Smallpox vaccine was developed back in '98
No.....not 1898 but rather 1798!

It has been refined to what we squids used to call the "21-gun salute" and I've had two of them to my certain knowledge, the first in boot camp and the second before I was deployed to the sandbox.

Procedure:
Administer the vaccine

• Hold the needle perpendicular to the site of insertion. Keep your wrist stable by resting it on the patient’s arm or on another firm support.
• Hold the skin taught. Prick the skin rapidly with the needle 15 times (or the number of times specified in the vaccine package insert). Keep the needle pricks within an area approximately 5 mm in diameter. A trace of blood should appear at the vaccination site within 10 to 20 seconds.
• Immediately after vaccinating the patient, discard the bifurcated needle in an appropriate sharps biohazard container.

Smallpox (Vaccinia) Vaccine Side Effects
Mild to Moderate Problems

• Mild rash, lasting 2-4 days.
• Swelling and tenderness of lymph nodes, lasting 2-4 weeks after the blister has healed.
• Fever of over 100°F (about 70% of children, 17% of adults) or over 102°F (about 15%-20% of children, under 2% of adults).
• Secondary blister elsewhere on the body (about 1 per 1,900).

Moderate to Severe Problems

• Serious eye infection, or loss of vision, due to spread of vaccine virus to the eye.
• Rash on entire body (as many as 1 per 4,000).
• Severe rash on people with eczema (as many as 1 per 26,000).
• Encephalitis (severe brain reaction), which can lead to permanent brain damage (as many as 1 per 83,000).
• Severe infection beginning at the vaccination site (as many as 1 per 667,000, mostly in people with weakened immune systems).
• Death (1-2 per million, mostly in people with weakened immune systems).

For every million people vaccinated for smallpox, between 14 and 52 could have a life-threatening reaction to smallpox vaccine

So....consider that 150 MILLION people have been fully vaccinated for Covid so far and do some quick math.....

THE REASON SMALLPOX vaccines are not widely given NOW is because they're largely no longer needed....BUT the reason that the vaccine is still routinely(ish) given around the world is that the pox has a mortality rate of about 30% (variola major) but probably more horrible to all of the people out there who look nothing like their facebook photos....."Between 65–80% of survivors are marked with deep pitted scars (pockmarks), most prominent on the face." Which would probably generate a demand for forced vaccinations more quickly than saying goodbye to a third of the nation's people.

LOL. I don't consider any TV or Internet news media to be trustworthy. I only trust peer-reviewed publications accepted to scientific journals. And I do all of my literature searches and fact checks from PubMed.

My doctor told me that we may need a booster shot every 6 months.

That wouldn't suck so bad if they could mix in a little influenza vaccine and take care of that one too with the same shot.

 

...or mix it with some vodka.

 

Before long it will be in tablet form, or a nasal spray.

 

Never tried it, but pretty sure IM vodka would make my arm sore.

 

Two weeks after my second shot will be Thursday.
Can’t remember the last time I wore a mask.
My store modality is simple....walk in and observe.
If the workers and other patrons are masked I put mine on.
Most of the stores now have disposable masks by the front door if their corporate lawyers require that they require masks.
Most of THESE stores (Academy Sports comes to mind) have the signs and the boxes of masks but the employees wear their masks under their chins.

I thought I was gonna have to wear one to vote but they laughed at me when I asked.
I served on the arbitration board until midnight after my day gig and masks were almost non present.
Since we were necessarily way more than 6’ away from the observers (and the “august” members of the “press”) I wasn’t feelin it.

CNN has even dialed back the prophecy of doom headlines....

 

we still have enough cases, hospitalized and deaths to keep me on my toes
