Forcing myself to burn gas instead of EV

    IIRC, it started up in HV mode until you added around 3 gallons of fresh gas.

    Once the gas hits a year old
    You can turn off the ignition but any time you are driving it will run on gas power until you are either out of gas or until the average age of the fuel is under 6 months old

    Yeah, my comment was a feeble attempt at humor. Looks like I forgot to add the emoji I intended to, sorry!

    Probably a stupid question but how does it compute the average age of the fuel?

    ... with a fuel level sensor, a clock, and a computer.

    Those cover everything needed to keep track.
