Hit a deer in my 2005 Prius, 250,000 miles. Should I fix?

Hello all! I haven't been back to the forum since purchasing my 2005 Prius 5 years ago. Now it has 250,000 miles. It is a great car that has never given me trouble once after I fixed some stuff about it like a bent axle, etc. 5 years ago. Never had to replace the battery - nothing. I hit a deer last night and now the left headlight is shattered, the hood is bent and the bumper is damaged. That's from what I can see, I have to get it looked at to see what the problems are, but it's Sunday so every place is closed.

Question for all of you: Should I fix this one or get a new car? Does it have a chance of making it to a much higher mileage?

Thanks for your input. I went to 2 different auto body places and called 2 salvage yards to find a headlight and other parts for it. Nobody will touch it. The hood is stuck shut. They're afraid that if they pry it open, it will not be able to be closed and it will pop open when I'm driving and I won't be able to see, and it will cause an accident. I explaind that I could bungee it down till I could get it fixed, but they won't hear of it. With the left headlight, the place where it was attached was smashed. They would have to attache the light to other structures in the area, and they are scared to do that. They think it could fall out and cause an accident, etc. Either I'm talking to a bunch of real chickens, or they just want my money, or something. I was written an estimate on the work for $3000 and he said that was really being generous. I'm sooooo sad about my dear Prius, that STILL starts up and drives perfectly even with the hood crumpled shut, the left light smashed and the left bumper drooping down. The little motor just chugs away like everything is normal. It could be that it IS a Unicorn. IDK.

Things people have told me to do:

1) get a rental car to complete my move, park the Prius till the move is over, then work on getting the Prius fixed if i want to bet on it doing another couple hundred thousand miles

2) sell the Prius to a salvage or used car guy, I've already had someone eager to buy it and asking me to come to him with a number. Use the $ for the downpayment for another car. Sadly, I can't buy another car in cash right now, that was the plan but it didn't work out that way so I will be financing).

3) Lease a car since I will be living in more of a "city" area when I move (no way, I'm a free spirit who goes on long trips on weekends so I would use up the lease miles too fast)

What do you think is the best course of action? Thanks!

Today I bought a $10 rubber mallet from the hardware store. I got the hood open. It latches down with some pushing on it, so it’s not the problem they said it would be. I hammered out some of the hood dents and hammered the hood back roughly into the place where it belongs. I used wire to lash the still working left blinker into place so it wouldn’t fall off as I am driving. Used bungee cords to prevent the left bumper from being too close to the tire.

 

No, Geico screwed me over. It turns out that you need something called Comprehensive Coverage to cover animal damage. I only had Collision so I can't get a penny from them for this, although I payed faithfully each month.

YES I located a scrap yard that has all the parts. I have to start with the light just so it can get back on the road and not be pulled over for having a missing headlight. Then I will complete my move from the house I"m living in. This all happended DURING My move omg. Then once I am securely in my new place, I will source all the other parts and have them put on. Thanks for the tip re: the bumper cover on Ebay. Surprisingly, the car still runs fine so there is no need for a loaner car. It's crazy but it took a full on hit from a big deer and kept right on going, I didn't even know the damage was as bad as it was till I got home and got a look at it. That's one tough car.
