Starter Battery

OK.....let's try this again.
IF....the 12 V battery really IS low or has a bad connection, you can NOT necessarily trust any of the codes that get set.
You need to be sure that the 12 V system is OK and then reset the codes and see what comes back.
A generic OBD2 reader might not be able to do the reset but some or all of them might go away when the battery is disconnected.

Then, what exactly leads you to believe that ANY of those codes indicate a battery problem ?

 

thanks for touch base. i did clear the codes. Not getting the servicing pop up anymore.

Now i am just getting the P000C code.

 

Is it getting close to needing an oil change? Have you checked the oil level recently? One of the google hits for that code says the oil, either low pressure or flow restriction, could cause the code. The variable valve system in most engines is controlled through oil as a hydraulic fluid.

 

This might mean only that the scan tool isn’t fully compatible with the car:

• The Repair Manual (more info) doesn’t mention P000C at all, either in its own right or as the SAE equivalent for a Toyota diagnostic trouble code (DTC).

• The SAE J2012DA standard defines P000C as “‘A’ Camshaft Position Slow Response Bank 2,” but there is no “Bank 2” group of cylinders on this car. There is only one one camshaft position sensor and one camshaft timing oil control valve assembly, for which the DTCs listed in the Repair Manual all refer to “Bank 1.”

• The ECU is listed as “Rain sensor.” This does exist, and it’s on a LIN bus, but its DTCs, as listed in the Repair Manual, all begin with “B” (body), as you’d expect for such a device, not with “P” (powertrain).

 

that was it - after the oil change - the last code didn't come back.
