I just bought a 2018 Prius 3 Touring edition the other day. I love the way it rides but would like to upgrade whatever I can on the car. I am curious to know if anyone has recommendations for an upgraded/premium aftermarket shocks/struts system/package I can buy and have my guy install. I'm looking for the smoothest ride possible, since my city has potholes and rough roads all over the place. I think I have the standard tires on there (15").

I called Toyota and they had nothing they could sell me and couldn't recommend any specific aftermarket packages.

This car has 12k miles on it and I'll be using it for personal and Lyft/Uber. I plan to keep the car until it drops and can no longer function. Thanks!

Where are you located? Not sure on aftermarket struts besides coilovers. But I'm currently on Tein coilovers and they have the softest spring rate and for me, they're really comfortable. If you're close to Northern, NJ you can come and feel it out of you'd like.

I'm in the midwest. Do you have a model number or anything on those? :)

The Three Touring has 17" wheels.

I'm using Tein Flex A. For your model it would be:

    VSTD0-D1AS3

I do Lyft and did a 90 minute ride today for a lady that does the trip twice a month. She said my car was the most comfortable and smoothest she'd been in.

Thanks. I guess the 15" has better gas mileage or is that only for Gen 3?

myself am using KYB New SR special strut/shock(color blue) absorber combine with stock springs for a year now, I think they are sporty version & used it on sport model on toyota, the handling different is day vs night, car is flat out during handling around corner & braking has no nose dive, is a sporty feel & comfortable, think the rav4 sport has those or the Lexus too, shock/strut color is light blue, got them from Japan, they do have alot of mods available oversea.
only thing now is the stock spings is soft but will change them out for a full coil over set later on, is ether Blitz, HKS or Bilstein, the high end/ top of the line is ohlins, all is easy available in Japan/ oversea market

I checked on this and supposedly this is what is available for my particular car:

KYB Excel-G Shock Absorbers and Struts for 2018 Toyota Prius

These are OE replacements. I'm not sure they'd offer any improvement over the stock. The ones you mentioned supposedly aren't compatible with my Prius Touring 3.

Thank you so much. I'll look into this and see what can be done.
