Yesterday I went to Toyota of Richardson (Dallas) to test drive a few models. I am very close in pulling a trigger on purchasing my 2nd Prius (my first was in 2005) but one of my requirements is Android Auto. Was told by the parts manager that Android Auto is not something that can be ordered in any of the Prius Primes. This doesn't sound right. What am I missing? Thanks!
Only the base Prime LE with the 7" MFD has AndroidAuto. XLE and Limited with the 11.6" HD MFD only have CarPlay.
They offered to install an Android Auto head unit in my 2020 AWD-e 6 months ago. ONLY $1800 and still no CD player. I hesitated on the purchase, but decided that I could fix those problems later. The lack of a spare resigned me to put one in back of the driver's seat. JeffD
That explains why I couldn't get AA working with my 2021 Prime Limited, kind of a bummer. Do you think Toyota will make it available for the 11" screen models at some point. Otherwise, I guess my options are a Carlink unit or switch to an iPhone.
