Does anyone know of a tutorial on how to remove the LDA sensor cover? I would like to hardwire a power tap into my car on the windshield, and I assume there will be power under this cover for the sensor and the homelink/autodim mirror. I don't want to break anything, so I'm looking for guidance on removing the black plastic box that covers the sensors/homelink mirror system wiring at the top of the windshield .

There are instructions in the Repair Manual, available by subscription to techinfo.toyota.com, under Engine/Hybrid System: Cruise Control: Front Camera. The same site also has the Electrical Wiring Diagram, which shows the existing wiring, including the power and ground buses in No. 30 Junction Connector (O14) near the map light assembly.

It just pulls off. I just carefully pulled it off from the top of the windshield to the bottom.

I realise this is a very old thread, but just in case @SaraBBrown94 is reading this, could you please explain further how did you manage to remove, and presumably re-put in place, the LDA cover?
Did you slide down from the top? Or did you pull out from the top?
What is holding the cover in place?

    Thanks
