Guess they did have more planned than usual shut down of the line at the end of the year.

You have to carefully adjust the seat tilt so the head rest relieves the neck and shoulder strain.

With that much horsepower, torque & acceleration - someone is going to be selling a lot of tires ...

Folks who placed their order for a Model S In December were shockingly advised after they submitted their deposits that their new Model S would cost an additional $10,000. Obviously these owners were not happy, so Tesla only upped the price $8,000 of the original price. Sucks to be them.

Eh, they are getting a better car, and can cancel if it is still an issue.

Tesla ownership has always been optional. I remain throughly pleased with my Tesla. For example charging at Ozark AR.

While eating a bite during the charging, three good old boys came over ask about my car. So I wanted to relate to their experience,”It cost $2.70 to drive 100 miles in Huntsville.”

Pointing to the SuperChargers,”They cost $3.50 per 100 miles driving straight through or only $3.00 if I stay overnight in motels with free charging.” You almost hear their gears churning.

BTW, it was obvious that I was eating while getting a charge. They were impressed there was no App or card as SuperChargers read the VIN and charge my account. So can you eat or go to bathroom in ‘5 minutes?’ I pointed out SuperChargers are 2-3 hours drive apart or a ‘wife’s bladder range.’

That’s not the point and if you can’t see the point, than there is no point to discuss further.

I have turned down sales when the offered price was too high. In contrast, I have no expectations about your mental skills.

And you can't see this is no different than with any other brand of car.

Put a deposit down for a car for MSRP with a dealer, and the manufacturer increases the price, like they usually do, the dealer is going to charge that new MSRP.

People putting a deposit on a Model S knew the delivery dates were going to be in 2021. It is a steep price increase, but Tesla did take $2000 off, and left the FSD option at 2020 level for them. A dealer of another brand would not be as accommodating with a model with limited units.

Looks like someone's looking for emotional response to their price hike news.
    "that's horrible! "
    "Appalling! "
" why - Musk oughta be ashamed"
"they should just buy a hydrogen car instead!"

    feel better ?

Yeah, it's got to be frustrating with all of the Diggs that the FUD spreaders shovel out, only to have the likes of critical Consumer Reports posting Tesla has the highest customer satisfaction vehicle, some 4 years in a row now.

Another Brand would not do a price increase on existing orders.

They were orders for a model no longer available. The 2021 Model S is a redesigned car. Order a 2015 Prius in November 2015, and you aren't guaranteed to get a 2016 for the price you were paying for the 2015.

It was wrong of Tesla to continue taking orders when the redesign with higher price was planned.

A Macintosh owner, changes in models meant buying the discontinued model from the usual suspects for a bargain price. I know buying the newest model is wonderful but always expensive:
    • GOOD
    • FAST
    • CHEAP
    Pick two.

when the black / oval / plastic Tesla front end was upgraded (plus hardware II & more external cameras) to the current model - there were prospective buyers that freaked .... higher price ..... different look ..... boo hoo .... people will move on.

Don't like the price, don't buy. Real simple.

Are S and X buyers really that price sensitive? Or spec sensitive?
