Have tried PM'ing twice with different users over the last week, and both times received this error message :

    Page Not Found
    Oops, something went wrong.
We could not find the page you were looking for. But, maybe we can help.

Navigate through our top menu or contact our team, browse the forums or search for the keywords, to find what you were looking for. Or, start a new discussion by clicking on new thread, and open the conversation :)

Any ideas on when or if this essential feature will be fixed again?

I'm pretty sure this was resolved by omitting punctuation in the title/subject text. Use the punctuation in the body of the message.

Will bump this (and others), since it has been at least a month now.

    Bump all you want.
But a LOT of past experience indicates that you are wasting your time.
Even if the people who actually maintain the code manage to get it fixed, the odds of us being notified of that are real close to ZERO.

I just found out that the "Start a Conversation" link works for some PC users from browsers. Mine ends up with the same error message from my Chromebook Chrome browser and my Windows PC Firefox browser but works fine on my Android phone.

Ok I've found a work around (sort of.. I mean it is part of the feature product, so really I mean to say, "use this other method").

If you click "start a conversation" per the link under the user name that @Salamander_King posted in the image above, you'll either get that same error message or it'll say "conversation created" but never actually move you into the conversation page.

An alternative is to click on the user's avatar and click "Start a conversation" in the pop-up window. (see screenshot below). The only difference is that the conversation won't automatically fill the title with the current thread's title but I think that's a minor issue and at least you can still use PMs.

Thank you for trying to figure this out, and quite odd how it just stopped working.
My browser or 'mod' level doesn't offer the "Start a conversation" after clicking on the avatar or user nick, it only shows "Profile, Media page, and Follow".

Which browser/OS combo are you using?

Darn. Is it a mod-only feature?

    Firefox on Windows 10.

Not sure, but I vaguely remember seeing that as an option in the past.

Let me play around with some user agents and see if anything pops up.

Yap, I confirm that clicking on the avatar does not offer me the "Start a Conversation" just as @SFO commented.

For now, my only workaround is to start a conversation using the Android phone app. Once a conversation is started, I can receive and reply from my web browser. I've tried on Chrome on Chromebook, Firefox on Win10, Chrome on Win10, and even Edge on Win10, but behaviors are no different.

After clicking your avatar, there is a pop-up, that includes these three (3) options : Profile Page - Follow - Ignore

There doesn't appear to be a conversation link there.

For me, neither your avatar nor SFO avatar shows the "start a conversation" option when clicked. In fact, the option is not available for anyone's avatar for me. I don't think it is the setting of my account causing this problem, for it used to work from my PC and still work from my phone. I believe it is something on the platform preventing PM not to work for some but not for all.

I seem to remember that clicking on the avatar used to offer a "start conversation" link. I could be wrong, but that really sounds familiar. Not now, though. And clicking on the conversation link in the profile box gives me the same notice that @Salamander_King uploaded in post #6. I've tried it using Safari, Firefox, and Chrome on an iMac and a Macbook Pro. Both running Big Sur.

it seems like I'm not allowed to send a PM to anyone. Also not able to post pictures via Prius chat app or tapatalk. I was able to share pictures before, but since one week it's not possible.

Please help me on what to do about this so I can send a PM or post some pictures again.

    Thanks!!!

    Best regards, Nick

I am having same issues as others posted above. I am also no longer receiving notifications (e.g. that others have responded/posted to my posts). Last such notification I received was 7/15/2020.
