Yes I need to extract the broken bit so I can replace with a new antenna. Has anyone successfully removed it with a screw extractor? Any advice? Thanks
I have not had to extract that threaded rod but have done so with others. Often it means using a reverse cutting drill bit (left hand bit) to get a starting hole for the extractor. Sometimes the reverse drill bit will pull it out.
Maybe check an auto parts store, or Snap On for a reverse drill bit. As you drill into the broken antenna brass/metal, it will either put a hole in it so you can use an easy out to remove it, or the drill bite will catch it and pull it out.
