Understood on the 5-15, but didn’t know if still the J-1772. That’s great if still included.

Agree with bwilson4web: NEMA 14-30 and especially NEMA 14-50 are good for many to have on hand (trunk/frunk) as they are very common at RV campsites. Good to have for planned destinations there or emergency backup/peace of mind when on road trips.

Great suggestions. Thanks! I'm waiting to see what's included with the 2021 and then I'll order adapters. Along with the CHAdeMO that I already ordered, I'll be all set.

About 10 of the Chicago area folks that ordered the M3 AWD LR at the same time I did, were contacted yesterday to schedule deliveries. Mine is headed to KC and then trucked to me direct so it should not be long now. Probably a week to 10 days at the most.

WARNING: Your cheeks will soon hurt from the smiling.
    • Chill mode - smoothed manual driving.
    • Autopilot - takes ~3 weeks before you relearn how to drive. Take small bites at first. Latent defects: phantom braking, if reproducible share with Tesla, and; curved lines in intersections can drive the wrong way.
    • Precondition is you friend and/or scheduled departure below 50F or above 85F. Let the grid prep the car.

    I'm ready. ;)

I didn't get FSD, so make that 1 week Autopilot relearning process.

I've been an active contributor to www.openstreetmap.org since 2005. When I find errors, I fix them. Speed limit changes, school zones, new housing editions, new highways, roads, etc. I've contributed a gazillion GPS traces to help fix the errors that cause the phantom braking, etc. that you guys see. These updates also find their way to Google Maps. I wish more people knew that you can edit and contribute to fixing Google Maps directly.

I used preconditioning and scheduling with the Prime in the heat and cold. It makes a huge difference.

We recently bought the ChadeMo adapter as well. Expensive but nice to have certain drives and a must have on others up here. Kinda annoying to use though for lots of reasons. Got spoiled by how wonderful the Supercharging network is.

I found using a strap to hold the weight made it more reliable.

I just received it yesterday. This sucker is huge on the CHAdeMO end. The packaging was concerning. The box has Tesla in huge letters on the outside with a description and image of what's inside. LOL, hey porch pirates!

never thought of that. When it failed to handshake with the DC QC, i'd just disconnect and try to reconnect until the QC worked. As time went on, it would work less & less, until I found out there were Hardware updates that needed to be flashed into the adapter. Then it worked fine after that. Had to find that online, as several of the service centers didn't know anything about it.
Someday there may be an SAE adapter. If you think the CHAdeMO head is huge - wait until they hook up to SAE adapters

I found out yesterday, my M3 arrives at the Kansas City SC on Dec 15th. Then they prep and arrange transport to the house. Before Christmas? Perhaps . . . .

I just found out I get 1 year of free supercharging. Got to love the end of quarter delivery push. The car is in Kansas City right now. Getting close now.;)

    It's HERE!

It came on a long flat 2 car size "open" trailer from Kansas City driven by Larry, Larry and Darrel. ;)

It's here. Dirty, but here. Finally. Pics when it's clean.

LOL, no the battery WAS extra but only if you get the long range all wheel drive which is what I got.

It's 6:50pm, 40° headed down to 29° and I just now finished washing off all the road crap from the 5 hr KC to OKC trip on an open trailer with melting snow and road salt getting dusted on it all the way. We had the big snow storm first before we sent it northeast.

This is the best I have for now. KC, MO temp plate. Looks clean. It's not.

The 2021 has the chrome deleted now and replaced with black. Hard to see here. I like it. 20201217_184728.jpg

    Beautiful.

Not a fan of red cars generally (besides the extra attention garnered from law enforcement) but one of my colleagues has the same and it really looks gorgeous on the Model 3. Chrome delete just takes it up another notch.

You'll have to show us a photo from the front/side when you have a chance.

Thanks. I've never owned red before. I drive the speed limit so it's no issue. I've had 4 white vehicles recently and even though I like white, I wanted something different. My wife's getting the Model 3 in blue. The stock wheels under the wheel covers are very nice. The wheel covers were not on for the tie downs and I left them off. 10% range be danged. I love the black chrome delete. It will look even better when I get it tinted.

I can't find any defects or fitment issues at all. I'm impressed and love it so far.

Thanks. I haven't touched paint this squeaky clean/smooth in quite a while. I'm going to prep it with iron remover, clay bar, and then see if I need to do any paint correction. Then I'll ceramic coat it. I want to do all of this before it gets too cruddy and will be harder to get clean again.

So far everything seems to be perfect. I haven't found anything wrong anywhere. Still testing & looking.

EPA range is 353 miles. I charged to 99% as a test and got to 345 miles of range so it's a good start point. If you don't do this test when it's new, you'll never know where it started from new. Darn, now I have to drive it to get it down from 99%. :p

Per your request, different angles. Stock 18" wheels with aero covers removed and lug caps and center cap kit. No chrome, blacked out at the factory starting 2021 model 3. 20201218_131126 Copy.jpg 20201218_131135 Copy.jpg 20201218_131152.jpg 20201218_131619.jpg
