The only leads I've found for a hatch light kit that fits into the inside of the hatch door panel are the old posts on this forum which point to Rakuten, which, as far as I can tell does not sell Toyota parts.

 

I cannot start a conversation either. I also am new to this website and am not sure why I cannot "start a conversation," but I can't.
I'd love to see this Japanese website you're talking about.

 

Right, Rakuten is like eBay, a retail platform. Vendors sell 'JDM' and mod parts via these platforms or channels.

 

Perhaps I do not understand how to navigate the Rakuten website. I cannot see any way to buy any JDM or Prius car parts. All links I've followed from PriusChat.com to Rakuten have led me to a dead end.

and it seems someone is selling a used light kit for the hatch of a Prius Alpha for $165 USD. IDK about shipping. I also don't know about the reliability of the seller or of the website, for that matter... I wish I had a a friend who spoke/read fluent Japanese and English, was tech savvy, and had experience buying used car parts from international websites! Alas...
