I know people don’t typically buy a 15 year old Prius to do donuts and drag race. However, after 100k miles, my 2005 Prius seems to get to 60mph about two seconds faster than the manufacturer’s figures. I doubt the previous owner of 15 years (the City of Plano) chipped, modded or installed nitrous. I don’t think I’ve unlocked Ludicrous Mode. What gives? not sure if I’m allowed to post links, but here’s a YouTube video of me doing 0-60 with a timer:
I believe the manufacturer's figure is 10.5 seconds for the Gen 2, no? That's pretty close and impressive given the age of the battery.
Eh that’s seems on par. I believe the original number was 10.1 when they were new. my 2004 can still hit right around 10.1 even after all these years! Amazing
Ah - I thought it was 12.7 seconds. Maybe not so impressive then So I'm not the only one who tests these things on semi-vintage cars then!
That is what one of the auto mags measured on the first Prius generation. Yours is 2nd generation, 'new and improved'.
