That's a guy thing and a bad bet from the start. I don't envy your task. Dad was Mom's caregiver for many years. I know how tough that is especially with UTI's etc. Keep your chin up and if you need a break, don't be too proud to ask for help.
It seems like, at the age many of us on PC have attained, we're either caregivers for our own spouse or have friends who are in that boat. It's the ultimate opportunity to prove that you meant what you said when you said, "I do." But, like Mark said, don't be stubborn about knowing your limits if the time comes. That's a tough decision.
