Hi all, My 2013 Prius does not have the battery fan over/filter thing that sits right outside the battery fan inlet, by the rear seats. But the 2014 and above has it. If I order the part from Toyota for the 2014 model, will it fit my 2013? Thanks! iPhone ?
Yes. It's for all Gen 3 models. This is the part number. I also got the extra filter at either lowe's or home depot, I don't remember. But I pretty sure it was lowes... Because I have dogs, I wanted the extra protection from the fur. I've had not HV fan problems..
The Toyota filter is just the part that clips on the air inlet. I think it was $14? The "foam" I purchased separately. $5-6??? Then I cut it to fit. I just rinse with water once a month or so.
It added the extra foam because I have dogs in the bad. I wanted the extra protection to keep the fur out of the fan and HV battery.... It does a very good job, and does catch a lot of dust.
