    Hi All,

First time poster, long time lurker.

I have a 2014 Toyota Prius 5 door. This morning my wife went to go take her car when she told me it wouldn't start. I went out and took a look and here's what I've seen.

    1. When I go to press the start, the dashboard looks like it's lighting up as normal but it doesn't actually turn the car on.
    2. The center dashboard (where the radio is) has no power
    3. I've checked all the fuses and don't see any issue.
    4. I've seen many mentions of key battery issues, I've held it next to the Start button and I assume that since I can lock/unlock the battery in the remote should be fine.

Outside of this, the last time I drove it was two days ago and I did a smog check here in Vegas. They hooked up something near the bottom of the steering wheel. I don't know if it's just coincidence or not but I'm at a loss what to do after spending countless hours here and on YouTube.

You could simply have a dead 12v battery. That happens every few years with all cars.

They didn't accidentally leave something plugged in "near the bottom of the steering wheel", did they ??
Maybe time for a 12 V battery test.
    Or a portable "jump pack".
    Or both.

Ended up jumping it safely and drove it for 30 minutes hoping everything would be OK. Went to start this morning and got the same exact issue. Guess I'll test/replace the 12v battery

Does anyone know if this is a sign of the 12V being bad or the main expensive battery?

Could be. but you would know a lot more if you gave a full charge. Driving 30 minutes does little!

IF....jumping the 12 V gets it going, what do you think ? :)
Hint: Likely has nothing to do with the HV battery.
