A few months back I had to have my 2010 towed home. I asked the guy if I need to put it in neutral and he said no as it's FWD. The car sits a little low to the ground and we have dirt for our parking area, so the guy had a little trouble retracting the tow bar. Since then, the traction control light is always on. No other light is. I've tried the reset with the paperclip, and also pulled the 12v battery (replaced it) for at least 30 minutes.

    Any ideas?

did he tow it with the front wheels in the air? if so, he probably nicked the wheel sensor cable removing the tow bar

Did you contact the tow truck company? Let them know about it.
It is BEST if they use a flat bed to tow the Prius. I believe it say that in the owners manual,
but, I am not 100% sure. Something to check out.
Have you used a code reader to get the code?

As you already have the paperclip, you could use it to find out what trouble the car is reporting, which is what it's for.

I have a code plug and app, and zero codes. The issue doesn't affect the operation, just annoying to have that constant light on.

Yeah, I kinda suspected that, so I'll have to track that down. Thanks!

Okay, but you should still contact the towing company. Because SOMETHING happened
after they towed your car. The longer you wait, they more they will ignore you and say it's not there fault.
Maybe it's not there fault, but best to check it out.

Unfortunately, the tow was back in May! (I had many other pressing problems with the car to deal with first.) Plus, my whole area is pretty much shut down due to the fires.

That's a bummer.... Sorry to hear that.
Hopefully it will be something inexpensive and easy to repair.

I had the exact same situation with my 13 Prius V. Tow truck driver put it up on the front 2 wheels, I also asked if the battery needed to be disconnected or if it needed to be in neutral and he said it didn’t . I’ve tried the paperclip, 12v battery also and nothing. Any luck finding a solution? Thanks.
