2020 prime-I like others found door armrest way too low for comfort so after a lot of searching I ordered one from amazon/china-It is actually pretty nice and a decent match for interior. Now install was a little tricky as I didnt want to glue or fasten anything to existing armrest (they cost about $80)-so what I came up with is using a flexable rubber sanding block which just happened to be close to size of armrest pull pocket-cut it down a little &shaped it a little until it would fit down in there with moderate resistance- drilled 2 holes in armrest mount plate and used 2 #10 stainless screws which easily thread themselves down into that dense rubber of the sanding block which is sorta stuck (but removeable) down in armrest pocket.Armrest hast 3 height positions-mine is in middle one

Good job. Great idea using a rubber sanding block and making it removable. I wish there is a solution for the right-hand armrest. You should check out what @jerrymildred did for exactly the same problem. I don't think his cost $80 and was MADE IN USA. lol Jerry's Evolving Thoughts on "new-to-me" Prime Premium | Page 2 | PriusChat

Didnt mean to imply add on armrest cost $80-it was only about $23- the oem armrest top will cost around $80 to replace if you damage it trying to add some type of armrest.

I revisited the armrest and made one that's a bit more comfortable and less unatractive. Jerry's Evolving Thoughts on "new-to-me" Prime Premium | Page 31 | PriusChat (post #609). Made from stuff on hand. Cost nothing but some time.

I've got one of these for my elbow
and the other one is for my right knee to keep it from hitting the center console. They are on velcro so they can be readjusted and they're very comfy. before it felt like my right arm was higher than my left arm, now it feels exactly even. also, bumping my knee was an annoyance, especially so now with open pilot because i'm usually off the pedals.

My left elbow wouldn't even come close to the armrest unless I leaned was over or made the seat so low I could hardly see where I'm going. (I'm 5'9", so not THAT short!)
