Has anyone used Sliplo Skid Plates to Protect Front Under Bumper from Scrapes?

Received my first under bumper scrapes the other day pulling out of a parking lot. I was very upset for the first few days. I bought some Toyota touch up paint and it looks better now, but was wondering if anyone has used SlipLo to protect from scrapes that I know will happen again.

As long as you're ok with having the scrapes on the skid plate, since the plate will make it even lower to the ground.

I am fine with scratches on the skid plate. that's what it is meant for. I am less OK with scraping the paint off the front bumper

I'm thinking off mounting a camera on the front and a monitor inside! I usually stop well short! No scratches In eleven mths..

I am careful with concrete stops but usually do not think to go in or out of parking lots at an angle.

So...it's not a skid plate. It's not a plate. It is a $100 adhesive plastic scrape guard. OK, but...how thick is this? 1/2"? Maybe a bit less? In any case when it contacts a firm surface it'll force the body upward a bit more due to its thickness. After one scrapes over an obstruction, will the Sliplo remain in place when the car is backed back over the obstruction, or will that peel the Sliplo off?

Anyway, it's an interesting product. I may look into it for our cars.

Update: I purchased and installed the kit. I can take pictures if requested. Comes with a pack of 10 scrape guards, I only had to use 4 scrape guards to get complete coverage for the left and right bumper covers. I did not use any under the center black grill. They're about 1/4 inch thick and seem well made and fit perfectly other than I had to cut one of the triangles on two of the pieces to avoid a bolt. I am happy with the results, took about 15 minutes to install. You barely notice them when installed.

The one thing I worry about is the adhesive and adhesive promoter are strong. It would be very difficult to remove the scrape guards later down the road, but I am not sure why you would want to do uninstall them.

They're expensive at $99, but I ended up recouping half the cost by reselling the left over scrape guards on Ebay. They sold within 5 minutes of posting.

You have a picture of them? I got into a scrape too in my non prime. And 2 minutes later SliPro showed up on my social media as an ad. And I decided to search priuschat if anyone have used them. The price turned me off, at first because i thought I might need more than one. Also, what comes in one (1) kit? You said one kit came with 10 scrape guards, is that 10 of those triangles or 10 strips of 7 triangles? Also where did put them?

The kit comes with 10 strips that have 7 triangles each. Each strip is 12” long. I only needed to use 4 out of 10 strips on my Prime to protect the left and right bumpers. I did not use any strips for the black center grill but I suppose you could. The kit is expensive but it’s worth the peace of mind in my opinion. Also, I was able to resell the remaining 6 strips on Ebay for $40 recouping almost half the cost. Pictures below

I actually ordered one today, thanks for the pictures. The kit (I dont know if they changed it) now comes with 8 stripes on Amazon, ebay and their own store. Sounds like a good investment. Did you just put one stripe on the left side, left front , right side and right front
Meaning here at the red lines? My regular Prius has a different bumper than a Prime, it seems to only allow space for one stripe at these locations.

that’s terrible if they reduced the number of strips the kit comes with. It’s expensive already!! Anyways, yes I used 4 strips total, 2 on each side: one front and one side (same locations you pointed out by the red lines). 2 strips for each side fit perfectly, and I didn’t have to shorten them at all. In my last picture, you can see where one strip ended and one began at the corner of the left bumper

Where did you order yours from? I was interested in this product when you first posted this thread and looked it up. Their site was showing 8 pc in a kit when I looked up as shown.

I purchased it directly from them. SliPlo is selling it directly on their website (35$ for free shipping since its a $99 product you automatically get free shipping), and Amazon and their eBay store. I was going to buy it on Amazon because I'm a prime member but it shows it wasn't stock until July 23 (at least in my location) and I wanted sooner than later (I'm an impatient person) .

Yeah, I looked up Amazon as well. Amazon has $10 off coupon. But, the SLiPLO site when I first visited, had a marketing promo if I gave away my email address. I got 20% off deal. It was good only for a few hours, so it is now expired. If I only need half of the kit but still have to pay $99 (or $80 with promo), it may not be worth. I am still thinking.

I'm actually planning to use all 8 pieces. 2 for each side and then the front. And I plan to place some on the black plastic (noticed some scrapes there too)

They must have. Even the instruction videos shows 10 pieces on their kits.

Update: Just finished installing, not the best install but as a sacrificial layer of protection, it works for me. It didn't go smoothly as planned, but I did use all 8 of the stripes. The 8th one, I only used 4 blocks out of the 8 blocks. I did have to trim some pieces but reused them to cover elsewhere. And these are a PITA to cut, I had to cut them with a branch looper.
