I’ll let the car sit for 2 months because of the COVID-19 and then I start it up yesterday and I get these codes after I got the diagnostic from Koons Toyota in Annapolis. I know there’s Prius hybrid repair in Annapolis who can fix most of these issues. Let me know what I should do. The car was bought in 2011. I had knock sensor only problem back 2 months ago and was planning to get it fixed after stay at home order was lifted. 12v was dead I Jump started it with my cargo van. I am not in favor of clearing codes indiscriminately, but in your case there are a number of codes there for conditions that are plausibly related to the 12 volt battery getting really low, and that is also something you know happened. And you have read the codes and recorded them here, so you will not be losing important diagnostic information by clearing them. Under those circumstances, it would be entirely reasonable for you to get a long, full charge into the 12 volt battery, then go ahead and clear those codes, and wait a while to see what comes back.
^^^ Good advice! As soon as you pushed that start button with a very low battery just about every sensor and/ or module reported a fault code due to battery voltage being below sensor parameters.
Some in the past have complained that the go-to response for everything is to point to the 12v battery, but in this case it fits. And its also cheap! I hope this solves the problem for you. Could you name the hybrid repair place in Annapolis and how has your experience been with Koons? The last dealer I went to around here (Jack Taylor's Toyota) in Arlington was pretty clueless on a pretty simple request (program additional key). Annapolis is only about 30 minutes away.
I can pretty confidently rule this out as not having anything to do with your current problems. Everything else? Well you let an electronics dependent vehicle that depends on the health and operation of 2 batteries, a 12 volt and a Hybrid Battery, SIT for 2 months. Set aside that it was displaying a code for the knock sensor BEFORE any of this happened. I think you just hope it's just the failure of the 12 volt battery, and not much else. 10 year old Prius with 300K? It could be more serious. Don't mean to rag on the OP....but I don't get why so many people have just let their Prius sit for multiple weeks. Quarantine doesn't mean you can't start the vehicle-in open air, and let it run. Hey, I've been routinely risking a few scenic drives. Seems like Prius "rabbits" like to shelter deep within their burrows. Last time I heard about rabbits so angst filled about leaving home, I was reading Watership Down. Note to anyone dropping by? Go on a drive once in a while. You can stay masked and IN the car if you want.
