After seeing the eBay link you posted, I searched eBay and found this. For Toyota Prius Prime 2020 LeBra 551708-01 Custom Black Front End Cover | eBay This LeBra has very similar part nuber as the one you listed but without "a" on the end. Part Number: 551708-01 And, the description of the item by this seller says: 'Breathable' vinyl to withstand moisture Does not need to be removed when wet Do you think this is the same material as the one you have on your Gen4?
I spent a little less than $1200 to get STEK on the whole front hood, mirrors side panels and door cups: Very pleased with the work. And a side benefit was the removal of the side emblems. Go emblemless.
Yeah. And I would be very skeptical about an eBay accessory for a Toyota Prius that lists the LeBra with a photo of it installed on a Dodge Challenger. At best, the seller is just lazy, but more than likely this is from a seller who is having trouble selling the product and is trying to get rid of overstock. The instructions for the LeBra that I bought also states that the product is "breathable". I am guessing that the seller latched on to this and conveniently extended the interpretation of it to mean that it could left installed indefinitely, while ignoring the warnings that explicitly stated the opposite. Unfortunately eBay does have some seller that do this. To check for this, look at the sellers approval score. You will probably see that he or she rates below 90%. Generally, any seller below 90%, or low qty sales to his or her credit, should be considered "high risk". For the ones with low scores, a cursory glance at the negative reviews, usually reveals why.
I agree. I asked the seller about the fitment of the item specifically on PRIME as well as keeping it on after being wet. I got this answer. Obviously, according to the answer, it does not even fit on PRIME. Thank you for choosing CARiD on eBay. This part fits the following models of 2020 Toyota Prius: Base Prius AWD-e LE / XLE Without Air Foils L Eco / Limited / XLE Without Air Foils Unfortunately, we do not have information about part # 551708-01a and other information about the cover is not available. All the details can be found on the listing.
We got a bra for our brand new 1990 Honda Civic Si back in the day when they were all the rage. Haven't bought once since. Bottom line: the Con's are bigger than the Pro's and are a lot of hassle to take on/off which can eventually lead to bigger issues with paint wear if you leave it on and dirt/moisture works it way underneath.
I'm not much of an authority on any kinds of bra, unfortunately .... formula I did install the full front clip paint protection film on my 2014 Prius Plugin. in 2014 there were 3 stock sized of paint protection film for the PiP. All three sizes covered the full grille and parts of the hood and fenders. The full covered up to the flat part of the hood and 2/3's of the fenders from front to back as well as the side-view mirrors. It wasn't all that difficult to install, but I learned a few things not to do when installing the stuff. The biggest one is to make sure the two spray on solutions used during installation don't get mixed up in the same type/color spray bottle. I'm kinda frugal and the thought of parting with a grand for a bra, when I can buy one, the big one, for under 4 ben jamins and a few hours to install inside or in the shade on a warm calm day, I'll take the later almost every time. I'd say the paint protection film is a lot like putting a screen protector on a phone. It's helps a lot for a long time, than it's also easy to uninstall and replace with new.
