Flipping the triangle piece worked. I don’t know why they chose to use thread locker on the allen set screw though. It had only been two days and I forgot what a pain-in-the-nice-person fishing the OBD wiring back out and back in. I accidentally tore the plug off when fishing the wiring out. But I patched it back up on reinstall and all is good.

Finally getting around to installing a proper cold air intake on the prius! Printed in translucent PETG, then primed and painted to fully seal it. I'll update after I get it installed this week. There's a bumper in my living room I need to install so I'd might as well reroute the intake while I'm in there ;)

Air intake will have to wait for tomorrow, I ran out of time tonight. But it finally happened, I finally snagged a G's bumper! Install was incredibly easy, and took all of a half hour from start to finish!

Hybrid PitStop sourced it for me, and it is BEAUTIFUL in person. Not a defect on it, looks like it came straight from the factory! The Rice Prius is really coming together! Now I need to start looking at some coilovers or air suspension for autocross...

Saw this on your IG, man. I love that front bumper! Looks so good. Are you planning to pick up the rest of the kit? The rear bumper is just as bad nice person as the front!

Interesting how my post changed the word a.s.s to "nice person"...

Cant wait to hear your thoughts on the intake!

Sorry, just saw this! I already had a rivnut insert tool. I also swapped some of the bolts to Allen- or Phillips-head from the hardware store, so there are 3 different head types under there now.

Begs my usual question, why do people always post photos of their new lighting stuff with the lights off?

LoL! Basically, I got these not because they light up different. They light up the same as stock. Its the inner housing that is dfferent. It is now a darkgrey/black color which nearly matches the color of my car. Never was crazy about the stock chrome inner housing. Trust me, if I got one of those $500 Valenti jobs, ......you'd be seeing my rear end lit up like a Christmas tree!!

@Montgomery, be careful with all that dark theme going on there.

Our Winter Gray Metallic Prius has been in numerous near miss collisions due to people pulling out of driveways and side streets like we are invisible or in stealth mode or something. The color must blend in pretty well with the blacktop road or something, and our car doesn't have dark colored wheels like your car, which is why I installed a daytime running light (DRL) system so people can see us coming down the road.

What about the fella on PC who red out his entire tail lights including the white reverse lens, he said it still works and still can be seen in red while in reverse

Big moolah, but we will see. Had lowered cars before. Got tired of re-painting front end from sand and road filth. Plus, just the other day, I was on the 5 Freeway and some idiot lost his load of 2 x 4's. I ran over one, but, because I wasn't lowered, I went over it no problem. I'm just too paranoid to go the lowered route again. Best rides I owned that were lowered was my 68 Mustang and my Datsun 510. Broke and cracked my front air dam on the 510 so much I hated having lowered it.

Got the 360 camera kit installed but still need to calibrate it, I'll post some videos and pictures once it's done! It's pretty cool being able to see behind you while you're driving, and it automatically switches to the side cameras when you hit your lights!

Here's the head unit finally with a USB OBD2 reader finally wired in. The bluetooth ones have a much slower refresh rate so there was some lag. Now it's working perfectly every time, even in the Sonic drive through! P_20200510_204848.jpg
