"Well, our cash is made from a blend of cotton and linen, and these fibrous crevices are great places for bacteria to grow. Paper-based money can transfer live flu viruses for up to 17 days, and we rarely think to wash our hands before or after handling money."

"The currency investigated harbored a diverse microbial population that was dominated by human skin and oral commensals, including Propionibacterium acnes, Staphylococcus epidermidis and Micrococcus luteus. Other taxa detected not associated with humans included Lactococcus lactis and Streptococcus thermophilus, microbes typically associated with dairy production and fermentation. Culturing results indicated that viable microbes can be isolated from paper currency."

    Cash is disgusting.

I still would keep some cash. Consider that there are a few hostile countries to the US, some of whom have been very hard hit by the virus, with organized State sponsored hackers. Can you imagine the impact if they succeeded in taking down a few large banks, or worse yet, compromise our internet bandwidth or shut down regional areas.

It may be a very remote possibility, but I bet US Cyber Command is on the highest alert status.

We actually were somewhat prepared to deal with pandemic outbreaks, and a couple previous Administrations handled four prior outbreaks under various commands and pandemic response teams.

Those teams were disbanded in [... DELETED ... FHoPolitics material only! ...]
