P.S. Even despite Taiwan with other countries, bearing the brunt of a second wave of coronavirus cases, the country limits their cases to 100 (tho 23 new cases have emerged). Taiwan has effectively limited their total deaths to..... one.

 

You also aren't in Australia where tests may not be in short supply.

Japan is an interesting one, they have half the cases only from that cruise ship, they are introducing fast tests (15 minute) and the Chinese also say that favipiravir, developed by a subsidiary of Fujifilm is clearly effective in treating coronavirus.

I think there is a real hope for Olimpic games in Japan.

Also interesting is India, the country that is stereotype of "filthy" is doing this good, It just can't be coincidence or is it?

 

Using a log scale on graphs like that makes the outbreak look linear when numbers are increasing exponentially. Just an observation.

 

we do, but they aren't testing without symptoms, ou of country or contact with a known felon. only 2,200 tests to date.

 

I wonder if the spread will appear to flatten for a while?

I'm not suggesting that the count is actually flattening, just that the daily infection spread is outpacing the daily growth in testing capability. I expect we'll be flying blind from now until early April before the testing can catch up.

However, earlier @tochatihu posted a math relationship used to track and predict infectious outbreaks. I didn't find it easily but it is well worth reviewing.
