Well another meetup in the books yesterday:).

    Thanks to @Ianmeister for hosting(y).

    Some pics from the event:

@Triparadox hv battery fan (no need to clean it if you can see the condition):

@Triparadox leak from the block (evidence to get it sorted while under warranty):

I obtained another lower egr cooler support nut to add to the collection;).

Thanks again to those that attended(y).

Oh of course I missed it, lol. I've been trying to attend this since August of last year to get help with my trans fluid change. It kept getting changed and put off. I check back and of course it was a few days ago. I assume there wont be another one for several months? This is a super awesome thing you guys put on. I'd love it if I could get put on a mailing list or text list or something. My tools were in storage and my stored unit "accidentally" sold everything I own. I'm in the process of sueing them for that but my prius needs some love in the meantime. Please add me to any kinda list you might have for this. Email [email protected] text 925 238 6200. Thank you guys. Hope to see y'all in the future

Sorry I missed the meet-up I need to log on here more often and make sure I get notifications sent to my email. I am mid-way through my sound dampening. I started with the rear doors because I figured if I was gonna screw it up, best start with those doors! I also ended up getting some Frost King foam plumbing pipe wrap which is going over the Noico sound dampening. I have one door that I didn't place the foam...and as I was putting the foam insulation I could notice an immediate difference in heat transfer. We'll see if it helps with keeping the car a bit cooler. Given that its charcoal colored I'm hoping it does.

I bought two boxes of the Noico sound dampening and its going to be MORE than enough. I'll probably end up pulling the seats and removing the carpets and placing it under. I will say unless you have small hands its not easy to get it in between the door frame and outside panel. Plus you need to get the roller tool in there as well. I'll try and take some photos when I do the front doors.

Why do you want sound dampening?

I put the stuff in all four doors when I installed new speakers. Cuts down on road noise.

Yup. I keep logging on some days *after* every meetup. Getting to the point where I'm gonna replace PCV valve, do throttle/intake manifold cleaning, occ (maybe?), and egr cleaning myself, and do trans/coolant change while at it all. Got to the point I did my own oil change last time, which I hadn't done for many years and only first time on the Prius now that maints expired some while back. (Last time the dealership charged like $80, an' I was like pssh, I used to change oil when I was a teen on my family's cars.).

Would *not* be against it if any other stragglers who missed the recent meetup would be interested in doing our own.

All're welcome! I unfortunately don't have much of a place, let alone with space. Just did the oil and transaxle fluid change over the past few days and just did it on the street in front of driveway just to be able to keep the car level (mostly, hehe).

Who was the guy who once had an auto garage in Fremont/Union City? The place with the lifts. (Realizing how many hours that would have saved me, hahaha..)

In any case, I ordered multiple sets of all 4 gaskets for the EGR pathway (inlet, pipe, valve, cooler) along with a couple for the intake pathway (throttle body, manifold). And couple new PCV valves. OEM from toyotapartsdeal. So I should be prepped for those. Not sure about what OCC I want. (I'm aware it's probably not a colossal deal on the Prius compared to say other cars, like direct injection engines, but I'm still curious what people's experiences are with the ones they have or have tried.)

And of course, I'm just down for hanging out and soaking up other people's knowledge and experience through osmosis.

We'll see what we can put together ;).

How many miles on your Prius ?

The egr cooler we have done at every meet up since 2018. Sometimes 2 :).

We just need enough willing hands to help progress the work before the sun goes down (y).

Hitting 109k sometime this next tankful. probably replace coolant too, since I don't think that's ever been done. Still looks clean and super pink, but manual seems to suggest draining will be less mess futzing around with EGR components, and figure it can't hurt, better safe than sorry. Just not sure if I'll need anything else. And also that rodentproofing the engine compartment ingress points, since I never got around to doing that.

The only thing I'd add since you are close on mileage is the spark plug change;).

    Other stuff sounds good:).

Maybe @Ianmeister would he amicable to hosting again(y).

Oh right. I forgot I did get 4 SC16HR11s. Figuring if manufacturer recommended it *shouldn't* be a prob, right..? :)

I’m ok, but I used up a lot of brownie points that day. One must tread lightly with the Mrs.

If so, we can be on better behavior the next time;).

May also need to consider from the neighbor’s perspective? Looking at the photos on that day, someone was laying down on roadway trying to commit a suicide? :ROFLMAO:
