I think it included a $1000 state rebate which only goes back to a dealer, not to a consumer.

I wanted to get rid of the 11.6" display and SofTex seats badly enough, I was willing to spend $1000 on a new car. But I will recoup most of it by not buying a new set of tires in spring and not have to pay for the maintenance next 2 years. It was instant satisfaction. I just love the feel of cloth seats much better and so nice to have the real physical buttons for AC back.

That's why we got the Plus model last year;).

I'm not sorry we did either:).

Another good reason for the move(y).

Yeah, when I purchased the 2017 PRIME, I was actually looking at Plus model specifically for the cloth and smaller screen with physical buttons. I had a very good price quote on Plus trim from a far away dealer, and my local dealer matched it with a Premium model. They did not have the Plus trim in stock. I thought I saved $1000 on the upgrade, but I don't think it was worth it. I will miss 3 doors SKS and AUTO headlights, but they are not as important as cloth seats and physical buttons.

Your 2020 doesn't have the auto high beams:whistle:?

    Our 2019 does;):

But the 3 door SKS isn't a big deal IMO either (y).

Auto high beam is there, but I don't use it. LE and Plus models do not have AUTO headlight on/off. On my Premium, I kept the headlight on AUTO position all the time never had to switch it. It turned it ON when it gets dark, and turned it off in bright daylight. With LE and Plus, the headlight has AUTO OFF function, but not AUTO ON.

Toyota extended $3500 rebate in NEW ENGLAND region till the end of month (3/31/2020). Historically, they have tried to flash out the current model out of the lot by the end of March, but I have not heard of any rumors on 2021 Prius Prime's eminent debut. The rebate offer may continue until the remaining 2020 inventories are gone.

Just checked this. NY/NJ region Toyota dealers now have $3500 rebate matching New England region. The current offer is good until the end of March also.

Does the Uber incentive stipulate that the purchase has to be financed? A dealer in RI is telling me I have to finance the car in order to get the $750 incentive and I was planning on paying cash. Did anyone who used the Uber incentive pay cash?

In December, I paid cash for a 2020 XLE in Maine and got the $750

No. He's lying. do not know why, but they all do. Well, we know why, but why they keep trying in this day and age is beyond me.

What was your trade-in #s look like? I traded in a 2017 for a 2017 and looking to trade in again for the fifth seat!

Last year didn't they go up to 4500 rebate to close last year stock?

I don't remember if it was last year, but there was a year the rebate went all the way up to $5000 in NY/NJ region. Did you trade in 2017 for 2017? Were they purchased in 2017 and 2018, so you could claim the tax credit for two consecutive years?

The online KBB cash offer for the 2017 Prime Premium with 4K miles was $18100, but the dealer gave me only $16900. But since I downgraded to LE, with $11K below MSRP after the tax credit, ~$1000 out of pocket. But considering free maintenance for two years and not buying a new set of tires, it was just about an even trade. But no more 11.6" screen and SofTex, priceless. :D

I traded a 15 month old 2017 with almost 30k for one of the last 2017 available in April 2018. It worked out well. I couldn't last time but could get the state rebate again this time. Will make a push the last week of March and see what I can swing.

Getting a lot of the dealers verbally offering the 110%KBB on trade. Will see if they would actually do that and 3K dealer markdown....

Kearsarge, I know feeling of not getting state rebate. Thinking to trade in 2017 Prius Prime Advance (purchased in February 2018) for 2020 XLE because of 3rd seat mainly. Some dealers lowball my trade in @15K (KBB lists at 21-22k). Like Salamander_King, I want to spend around 1k + trade-in to make trade worthwhile. Definitely, need $4502 Federal Tax Credit for this transaction to work.

Thank you both for sharing. =)

Yeah, to be clear, my out of pocket cost for 2017 Prime Premium to 2020 Prime LE swap was ~$5500 OTD. I need to count in $4502 tax credit next year to make this a $1000 deal. For me, the third seat was not that important, but I really wanted to get rid of the 11.6" display and SofTex. I am so much happier with physical buttons on LE now.

Got a prime limited last week. Black/Black for $31,199 before taxes ($2655 dealer/$1000 rebate).

I shopped around and couldn’t get a better deal. San Jose area. I didn’t have a ton of time to research prices, but seemed like most dealers wanted about $1000 more than what I paid. Found this forum after the fact :(
