-8°F on the commute this morning. Windows remained clear. The key is to pull in outside air, never using recirculate. Outside air is dry. So while you drive, you must use that. Otherwise, you'll end up collecting humidity from your breath.

And also run the A/C compressor to keep the air dry.

Agreed with others, always keep AC on and fresh air. I am neurotic about making sure I kick as much snow as possible off my boots in winter to minimize this from happening. I use rubber winter mats, and lift them out and dump them whenever I notice any water accumulation. I may get the internal frost a handful of times per winter, but never scrape it off, I prefer to melt it off with heat, or if I am really in a hurry I use a terry cloth I keep in the glove box to help once melt begins (then I really need to clean the windows when temps rise).

But yeah, do whatever you can to remove humidity.

I bought a mini scrapper a while back... I scrape a bit until I can drive off, and it helps the system as well.

Here's another video. Totally different route & driving, but also with temperatures below zero F...

John, I find these videos interesting, but can you explain the meaning of each of the gauges you have showing on the right side? A few of them are obvious, but others less so, like the colour bubbles under the brake rotor and the “EV”...? I am sure you explained this in one of your very informational posts, if you can point me to it.

I love having additional data available... I have a ScanGauge II mounted in my PiP to tell me things the car doesn’t, like instantaneous fuel economy, and RPM (lol) and some additional fuel economy gauges.
