It takes a nice shine. I use Turtle Wax spray on wax when the car is still wet. 2nd time I applied it and this time it really seemed to shine more. I can do the whole car in 10-15 minutes. I do the glass too. I'm so glad I traded for this car. I think many people pass by the Prius for fear of the unknown. But that's OK. I think this will make me a great car. It's very unusual, the color and style but I love it. There are more Prius sedans around but there don't seem to be many Prius Cs.
Was thinking of getting new tires for it but changed my mind. It came with Goodyear Assurance tires that have a good 60% tread left and they ride nice so I might as well run these as long as they're legal.
I had a 2016 Ford Fiesta for 8 months and a 2014 Hyundai Elantra for 1.5 years before that. Before that I had a 2009 Hyundai Accent hatchback for about 14 months with a Nissan Sentra. From 2007 to 2017 I had a Nissan Sentra XE 5 speed.
I can remember about 7 years ago, seeing a Prius C just like this and the same color, and taking pics of it with my digital camera, and some woman walking up and asking why I was taking pictures of her car. I liked the car a lot. Little did I know then that someday I'd own one just like it, when it was more affordable for me.
Nice, I can also identify with your story! I remember back in 2012 when the C came out, I was in college and there were a few lucky kids whose parents got them one. My friends thought it was a shitbox, but to me it was a cool car for people who understood the engineering behind a hybrid. In 2016 I bought my 2014 C3 when my 2001 Saab 9-3 decided to leave me without reverse gear. I love the fuel economy and the silent electric mode, I have decided that I’ll never sell it and keep it as a back up or daily when I eventually buy something sporty.
I virtually waiting until they were first released. I traded in the 12 for a 14 Hope to keep it forever and a day lol Still to this day I drive it and it seems like a gokart or something. Problem is it starts acting like a Prius once I have passengers
We love ours. I told my wife they stopped selling them in the USA and her eyes bugged out, now she's even more careful driving it. *audible fistpump*
You will love the car until you get a check engine light. Then you will hate the car. What you saved on the front end will get you on the backend. Yes, the engineering is great and very calculated. You literally cannot work on this car even as an advanced mechanic. It is not really your car in a sense.
So instead of buying a new Prius for $20,000 I waited 8 years and got a well maintained one with relatively low miles for $6800 which is about 1/3 of the sticker price. I've had several new cars, trucks, and motorcycles before but at this point in my life, buying a new car would not be practical. New cars (and trucks) I've had : 1971 VW Super Beetle (didn't even learn how to check my oil then, much less change it. Didn't want to get my hands dirty.) 1977 GMC 4WD long body stepside pickup 1980 Datsun 210 (140k miles) 1984 Ford Ranger pickup (???k miles) 1994 Honda Civic Dx coupe (253k miles - great car. DIY Castrol GTX 5w30 and an OEM filter every 3k miles) 1999 Toyota SR5 Xtra cab pickup - traded for : 2000 Honda Civic Dx coupe New bikes : 1971 Honda CL350 1978 Suzuki GS1000E 1981 Honda CX500C Plus several other used cars and about 9 other used bikes.
