Thanks to a Reddit user, I found this Gen3 fully detailed warranty (bs) enhancement program. That is just a forum but Googling it I found this on Priuschat the official letter from Toyota:

Toyota North America Warranty Enhancement Letters 2010-2015 Program. So folk, if you gen3 has issues with the brakes - take note of this, go to the deal and see if you can get it fixed for free.

Until Aug 31, 2021 2011-2015 owners should be covered (if the codes apply) regardless of mileage. After that it's 10 years or 150k miles - whichever comes first.

Please, report any failure issues to NHTSA in the US or Transport Canada regardless if they fixed your car for free or not.

Reporting helps with snowballing this into various investigations that could lead to an official recall and it might help other that somehow were denied services because of other codes that Toyota found unreasonable. So take your time to report your car issues.

This is related to my other threads:

    1) Dashboard Lights ON: Red and Yellow Brake, ABS and Slip + Beeping + Noise in Engine Bay (if you look on page 5 of the doc with letters they mention these lights as a potential indicator)
    2) 5 seconds Buzzing Noise every time I depress brakes

    Ohter links:

    1) Letter fr Toyota @ Brake Booster Pump program / recall (there's a copy of Mendel's letter for a 2010 ... the "program" expired 30 Nov 2019 for 2010s)
    2)
Who has had brake actuator and pump failure - 2010 Prius?

Feel free to link other threads that are related. Spread this and let other Toyota owners know about this, Prius or not, the issues might be running deeper given how many Toyota models I've seen affected by the same failure while reading online.

The ZJB program has been discussed extensively on PriusChat.

NHTSA is also well aware of the situation. Roger Hogan at Capistrano Toyota (who has been in litigation with Toyota) filed a Part 552 defect petition (DP19-004, PDF) with NHTSA, which has requested documents (PDF) from Toyota but has not, at this writing, granted or denied the petition or ordered any other remedy. The petition attachments are posted on NHTSA’s website; expand the section under “Brake Actuator Valve Wear,” and then click the Associated Documents link.

There is no codes. Pump runs every 15 seconds..... No idea why the v isn't covered.

Unsure what the traction light means, other than loss of traction

Pump running every 15 seconds is probably normal

That is not normal....... not supposed to come on for 40 minutes if not using the brakes.... it runs all of the time the power is on.
Traction light comes on when not moving........especially if you depress the brakes a couple of time.

Have you checked the Toyota owner site for warranty enhancement?

Gen 3 has a hill holder feature you can activate by depressing the brakes a couple of time. It beeps and lights the traction light.

Be a shame to spend a lot of effort fixing a feature.

Thats not it....... go out and sit in your prius and see if the pump runs every 15 seconds or less and runs for at least 10 or more seconds and you don't start the car (ready light on) or can be in (acc) mode and never touch the brake. Runs at least five or more times after complete dashboard off.

I listen to the radio in my car and sit in it at Starbucks....... it never ran like that the first year I had it.... and the traction light never came on. It is very annoying....

You press the brake all the way down and the light comes on. No beep. Light goes off when pedal up.
Vehicle also has recent front and rear pads and fluid. Problem was before brake work.
Car never did any of this for 20,000 miles.
I don't care about the traction light.... it's the constant pump running.
I'll be changing the parts very soon.

The emoji you've used show up as "Er... what?" when I hover the mouse over.

Does that mean you haven't played with the Gen 3 hill holder feature? It's in the owner's manual.
