    Good day,
I am a new hybrid owner. I have a Japanese 2016 Toyota Fielder, however, it identically made up electronically like the prius c or aqua.

I want to install an anti-carjacking system that will shut off the car a few meters after being held up. I was looking at the Viper 3106V however, my electrician and a couple other electricians by me said they can't make the car shut off because of how the hybrid system works.

Did anyone sucessfully install an aftermarket alarm system that immobilizes your car after theft ?

    Please help.

Great question- wish I knew enough to help. I'm fairly certain that it will be important to know what sort of key your Fielder uses.

The Aqua/c is available with either a traditional steel blade key or an electronic fob with pushbutton start, depending on which trim you buy. This is likely to present a difference in how you'd connect your security system.

I have the traditional steel blade key. after posting this, i checked the manual and the key apparently has a chip on it used as a transmitter for starting the car. without the chip the car cant start.

however, i still will like a feature to immobilize the car if i get carjacked.
