    1) A post with a quote usually stands on it's own.
Adding a comment about something NOT in the quote is just confusing.

    2) Post #8 seems to have disappeared, which likely is what you are referring to.

Maybe you should "scroll back" yourself.
Despite some opinions to the contrary, I am NOT in the habit of making posts just to stir up trouble.

You mean the post #8 from bisco at 5:16pm last Friday, asking "how many miles on her?" That post #8?

You haven't by any chance plonked bisco, have you? That could explain you not seeing the post. That's one downside of the ignore file, right? You might like some things about not seeing posts from a particular user, but it's still kind of on you if you then post complaints about stuff you didn't see.

Yes. But only as a reminder that I should NOT reply to most of his posts.
The system usually tells me that there is a post there that it is not showing me; not in this case.

Hmm, I don't know. It seems to be as there as any other post I could think of.

I think the fact that any of you block anyone else is really childish and you need to grow the F up.

After I replace the battery how long should I wait before I can start my car?

I never block anyone in traffic, well maybe when parked at our meet ups.

.32 seconds, no sooner no later.

Autozone claimed it takes about 1 hour before the car will start....

Because After installing the battery, the car isn't starting. All the lights will come up, but it won't actually give me the ready symbol yet.

has it been an hour? sometimes, you have to push the go button several times after disconnecting the battery.
other than that, it should start right up. not sure why autozone would say that.

OP, Please let us know if the new battery fixed this issue.
The similar happened to my friend's 2010 the other day and I didn't understand if there was something wrong or I wasn't doing it right. But I can tell it happened a few times.
I will check with him to see if it is still happening.

I can tell the expiration date on my 12 v battery has arrived: I've had to use my booster pack every morning this week. :)

Actually bought the replacement battery on Monday, brought it inside to charge, just haven't put it in the car yet.

Every morning when I have to boost the car, it may take a couple button pushes to get to ready. It usually wakes up thinking there's a parking actuator problem, which it decides is ok again after I shift to N and back to P. Twice, the MID has been dark all the way to work, but is back to working again on my drive home. Just quickly powering off and back on again does not make the MID reappear, only sitting powered off for a longer time. (I think it has a time-delay-off built in, the way it normally continues to show the clock for a while after turning off the car. Probably it doesn't really reboot unless it is off longer than that.)

But there has never been any particular delay between when I first provide power and when I can go to ready.

Puzzling why the MID would be dark while driving - after you get to ready, wouldn't the traction battery lift the voltage system even if the 12v is bad?

More importantly, what happened to Bisco, anyway . . .

That's exactly what happens; voltage goes to 14.7 as soon as the DC/DC converter comes on line.

It's pretty clear that the MID is just getting wedged during the sub-seven-volt spell when I'm trying to start without the booster pack (you'd think by Wednesday I would just be hooking it up first thing, right, but no, I always have to try without it first), and it doesn't really reboot until the car is quite off, including on the time-delayed circuit that powers the MID.

Trust the wisdom of the forum... It's the 12V battery

    I don't understand the question.
Why would you think you need to "wait" any time at all ??
(I see now. See next post.)

As for "blocking".......I also think that calling others "childish" is not appropriate........and having options to deal with that is good.

This means one of two things:
They installed a battery that is NOT fully charged.
    OR
Your car has serious problems in addition to having had a dead battery.
There is no "wait time" involved.
