I just noticed this morning that I can't turn off my air conditioner. When I hit the off button nothing happens. This use to work but now it doesn't. I can still change the temp and the air conditioner still works just fine. The green indicator lights are still lit. Any suggestions?

My uneducated guess would be that you have a faulty switch.

are you talking about the off button for the fan?
is it a button, or touchscreen?
    anything on the steering wheel?

My AC Off button gets stuck occasionally. Moving it around seems to let it depress and fixes the issue.

Toyota Owner's Manuals (at least ours, for 2010 Prius) muddy the waters by referring to the entire ventilation system as "Air Conditioning", whereas at least in North America AC means the active cooling of air, via compression/decompression of some Freon-like gas. Maybe OP can clarify?

Just to follow up - it was a stuck button and once I shifted it things now work again.

My lights don't stick on, but the air still comes out with it off. It will heat or cool depending on what the temp was set at last. I can't turn it off but I can set the fan speed low.

THAT is not a problem. It's the way the system is designed.
Some air moves all the time to help prevent fumes from building up in the cabin.......mostly incase of an exhaust leak.
It should automatically set the fan to LOW when the system is "off".

Ok. I didn't really notice it until I went through the car wash and big rush of air came in. Thanks
