Just an FYI for anyone who wants to order a pack:

We will most likely be shut down until next Monday. We have a few huge storms coming in and at 8000ft above sea level that means a couple feet of snow. UPS won't make it up the mountain to pickup and even if they did, it is unlikely the batteries would leave the central facility in town via Ground shipping. Road closures are common. Therefore any batteries ordered from basically now until Sunday, will be shipped Monday assuming the roads are clear.

Have a good US Thanksgiving Day.

Stupid question, maybe, but what are people doing with their old batteries when they swap? Is there a place to recycle them? Are folks selling them?

We have sent people to a couple different recyclers across the country. They pay about half the market value for your modules after you ship them there. You can also eBay it and get full value, but then you're dealing with people individually and it can be a hassle. If you already eBay, probably not too big a problem.

Some people get their kits installed for "free" because the installer takes the old batteries with them to use in refurb packs that they sell. Basically the install cost you $250-$500 in batteries but you didn't have to deal with anything.

So lots of ways of doing it depending on what you want to do.

Hey what's up, I tried contacting you on your website but I have not heard a response yet. Not sure how much snow you have. I am interested in purchasing a battery kit from you for my vehicle. Let me know what you could do when you get some free time. Vehicle has been down for a few days.

We get a lot of email responses, also lots of SPAM. I just checked and we had a few customer requests that look legit but got sent to SPAM. I answered those, hopefully yours was one of them. If you have not received a reply as of a minute ago, please resend your query. Or post here or PM me here. I try to respond as soon as I see the requests.

Luckily we have very little snow right now, so we are open for pickups and deliveries. However we are also completely sold out until the next shipment arrives (hopefully soon...)

That looks good! I need to get the same set up before Cadillac Escalade hybrid. Has 40 cells in it currently. Was wondering if toaster could set me up with a kit?

Has a KISS vibe over it: looks simpler and therefor possibly (even) less prone to failure than the original.

I almost feel sad that it makes no sense for me to buy one as with shipping, it would be more expensive than an OEM battery (and we don't have to return the old battery to Toyota either).

Does anyone know if 2K1 ever made a kit for a Escalade hybrid?

I don't think I did, but my memory isn't quite what it used to be. :D

No. We have no Escalade kits. But we have some kits for vehicles with 40 modules like the Escalade. It would be everything you need minus the wiring harness. We would supply a wiring harness to connect to the 40 modules, but the ECU connector would be wrong. So you'd need to splice in your old one or a junk one.

There are no links inserted by me in the original post. All the links are PriusChat's ad-bot putting links on text that it thinks can be linked to an ad. I have no control over that unfortunately.

Thanks 2K1 for the response. You think you can give me an estimate on the price and how long it would take to build the kit for me. The vehicle has been down for a few days and I'm trying to get it back on the road.

Currently trying to cycle these modules, but I have more than a few that are not responding so well. Very low discharge capacity. Not so bad on charge capacity.
