iirc - back in the day, $5,000 (& no income caps) was the all time high for State Electric giveaway rebates. Georgia, Cali, & Colorado. Free moola. Ahhh - for the good ol'days ...
The only way you can get $5K now, requires you to get a hydrogen car - & no income cap necessary. The downside? Now you have a hydrogen car.

Can they? Thought they sold/leased all the Mirai they were allowed to import.

I’ve been looking at the $5000 2016 Mirais coming off auction, if Wisconsin doesn’t charge the $665 title + registration it might be worth using it as new sheet metal and converting one to a CNG + plugin hybrid.

Not certain where I fall on this nixxing of EV tax credit. Pros and cons all over. Suspect an argument can be made the BEV footprint wouldn't be where it is today without federal tax credits. Given my son works at Gigifactory 1, certainly have been happy about these tax credits.

Nixed for per gallon biodiesel subsidy (retroactively)

Unfortunately the “extension “ is widely supported by Republicans because it sets a fixed sunset date of 2024 while increasing the cap to 600,000.

    Pertenant info below
Legislation to raise sales cap for federal tax credit | Page 3 | PriusChat

while I like expanding the credit I feel the sunset date should be state to state based on when a certain milestone is met toward odoption levels.

the states that need the most help have the most obstacles to plug in adoption
