OK, I'll admit I haven't digested every word of the massive owner's manual yet, but I thought this would be easy to find for my new 2020 Prius Prime. In my 2007 Prius there was a pretty prominent display of the battery state of change with, I believe, 10 bars showing how "full" it is. I can't seem to find that on the new car. I've got the efficient driving prompt screen in the dash display that has a divided battery icon which seems to be the EV driving battery capacity on top of the "regular' hybrid battery capacity, but it's not very informative once the EV piece is exhausted. Is there any screen function to better show state of charge? That little icon gives me a bit of the 'one bar left' anxiety from my old car even when it's probably trying to show me that I still have 80% left of what would have been my normal battery in the old car. Thanks in advance for any pointers.
I believe you can show the percent of EV battery that remains, but after that, the HV portion is only shown in the picture of the battery.
And it's only 2 bars. 2 green bars when there is some charge left, besides the 8 or 9% reserved at the bottom of the pack, or 2 purple bars when the pack is absolutely flat bottomed out at that 8 or 9% reserved state. Gotta love those 2 purple bars.
Why not use the Info 2 screen? That’s the one I keep on as I hate the OCD anxiety of the eco bar or the battery picture. It will show EV to empty for with and without HVAC. iPhone ?
