The DW lost her FOB for our 2017 Prius. It seems that some places like ACE Hardware can now do the replacement. Has anyone found a smaller FOB. This one doesn't fit the front pockets of my skinny jeans! ;-)
I do not know about a 2017 but I know for certain earlier years I think gen2 maybe gen3 someone was able to use that credit card key fob that was from Lexus and Toyota. No idea if it work for your car. Or you could crack the fob open and just electric tape it all and expose the buttons. But u will lose the emergency metal key inside. But either way. Not really what to make of your “problem” but good luck.
no. it's unfortunate that they went to a larger fob, seems backwards. most owners just convince themselves it's no big deal
Since the circuit board, battery and switches are smaller than the case, you could build a smaller case.
Thank you so much for the tip about Ace Hardware! I just ordered a second Fob for $199.99. I am thrilled that I don't have the pay the stealership or the locksmith price for a new FOB!!
