In case any Toyota executives are monitoring, what is your one like and one dislike about your Prime? Like: low cost of ownership (see attached photo from KBB). Dislike: No sunroof.
Dislike: Toyota executives are not monitoring. Like: Exterior styling not quite as polarizing as the wireless Prius.
Like: 25 miles EV range ... enough for many things Dislike: 25 miles EV range ... not enough for many other things
Like: EV range for every day commute while still being extremely efficient running in hybrid mode for longer trips Dislike: Infotainment is complete garbage (How is there STILL no android auto in 2020!?)
Besides, if you were targeting the Toyota executives you would post in Japanese. All such decisions are made in Japan.
Good topic! Like: 19-mile (each way) daily commute, and yet, since my last road trip two months ago, I’ve used only a little over 1/8 tank of gas. Dislike: Better tire/road-noise insulation would have been nice. Actually, the improvements I’d like to see the most are hard to nail down one single dislike, since, other than road noise, it’s more a case of a few little minor gripes. My main gripes though fit into the category of little things they could easily have done but didn’t. For example: 1. Option to charge to N miles of range then stop, the point being that I’d charge it to my daily-commute distance. 2. Seat, steering wheel and outside-mirror profiles for me vs. my wife. 3. “Can’t turn on remote climate because the doors aren’t locked or the windows aren’t closed.” OK, so then where’s the button to remotely roll up the windows, lock the doors, and then start remote climate?! On all three of those, the means of realizing them are already in place (except for power steering-wheel adjustment, but heck, at least do the seat and mirrors!), and it would have been trivial to provide.
Too many likes to even come close to picking just one. Biggest dislike? That's another tough one. If I had to pick, maybe it would be the driver's door armrest that isn't an arm rest because it's four inches lower than my elbow.
Like: Drivability (it's comfortable, quiet and handles well) Dislike: The EV data presented is poorly thought out (the scales are useless and I can't determine true EV ratio).
Ditto! If they were able to lower/flatten the battery enough to not reduce the rear hatch storage, this car would be perfect!
I love my zippy little car. It's the third one we've had since the '03 gen 1. I dislike the orientation of the charging port hatch cover. It should flip up instead of to the side for a little weather protection. I charge in my driveway plugged in to an outdoor outlet. I like the rubber floor mats with the lip. I must add that I've never "loved" a car before.
My Prius rolls up the windows, after three seconds pressure on the LOCK pushbutton on the FOB, and locks automatically the doors when the remote climate is activated with the A/C pushbutton. It’s possible that such features can be activated by the dealer, with Techstream.
Visually unappealing, you mean? I personally love the headlights, like to tail design, and the Darth-Vader hood of the lower part of the nose has grown on me. On the other hand, I don’t see much appeal in the big, black pseudo-grill, or the vertical light bars.
Those are on my wife’s Lexus and our cell phones - supposedly the RAV4 Prime will have those as well. Like: tie: heated steering wheel and remote climate (max heat, front and rear defroster) via cell phone Dislike: no sunroof or solar roof iPad ? Pro
