Hi I am working on a deal and I am in CT, want to know if Triathlon and Uber incentive is still active? I read somewhere that Triathlon expiration can't be greater than October 2020, basically they are trying to check if people are joining Triathlon now for the incentives.
Anyone has any more info please?

Also for Uber driver- Is this still an active offer?
If I sign up, do I have to drive or have any other implications?

All the info is within this thread, scattered about.
BS on the Triathlon - you just have to be a current member. Join for $50, print out the membership card.
Uber, you just have to be an "active" driver - no need to do any drives.
This costs the dealership nothing. Don't let them talk you out of them.

Both incentives are good through 1/2/20, I believe.

For those that did emails, would you mind sharing how you worded the first initial email to the dealers?

I said best price initially. Tell them when you’re going to buy. Once you get a great deal they’ll all come down. I went with the guy who gave the least amount of BS.

Hi AJDL. I am also in Connecticut. For the Uber and triathlon incentives they run from 10/1/19-1/6/20. If you need to see it go to page 163 of this forum under poster David Quimby and he has attachments of these posted. Which model are you looking at?

A dealer in the northeast did tell me yesterday that the Triathlon discount requires having joined prior to 11/1/19. For Uber, they just want a printout of my Uber profile page showing an Active status

That is the dealer submitted form. No where is a requirement of membership date, only expiration. Tell that dealer to eff off for lying and that they lost a sale. Maybe that'll teach 'em.

That's great! I just bought mine on 11/2/2019, just before the 11/4/2019 ending date of the $1,500 cash back deal. It looks like they have another special until 12/2/2019. Good luck! (y)

New buyer here. I used a combination of DealerRater and TrueCar to find a good dealership and price to work with. Once I found the dealership I wanted to use, I used TrueCar to get a price. I setup an appointment the next day to test drive. The salesman told me he could save me another $200 off the TrueCar price by using the Costco program (which is set to $700 under invoice). Then he took another $400 off of that. So all in all, I saved $1100 under invoice. I was totally satisfied with my experience.

    ^interesting - it does have a 10/31/19 signup requirement!
I was wrong, and apparently we timed our October purchase very well!

Everyone, be cautioned that "invoice" doesn't necessarily mean much, as the dealers have a ton of incentives, which could bring down the cost of the car to them many thousands of dollars below invoice. This thread is good to find out how much people are able to lower the price.

I like the format where buyers break down what they paid beginning with MSRP and then dealer discount, rebates, fees, etc. that was most useful I think.

No, because I have a 2005 Prius with a brand new hybrid battery and they really don’t account for that
