I stopped at my local car parts place and none of their replacement wipers would fit. He had none that had the little protruding tab. Are there any jobber wipers that fit?

The handle made by Toyota is going to be better than any other. I would only replace the refill.

I measured the wiper blade insert width to be about 6mm so I think if you can find this width and the correct length it should fit. I got a replacement coming soon. Also, I have tried the silicone inserts and they seem to last longer.

I replaced my wiper blades with refills that I bought online - I found it relatively easy to replace the blades. ;)

How many did you replace? Could you reference the part number?

Inserts are simple to replace. Be aware that the rear wiper insert is also 16", but has a different type of "groove" to attach to the blade, hence a different Toyota product number:

    RUBBER, WIPER, RH 85214-78010

    RUBBER, WIPER, LH 85214-47110

    RUBBER, REAR WIPER 85214-47010

OEM wipers on my PRIME are going for the third winter. They are the same OEM wipers (no rear wiper on PRIME) found on Gen4. My car has been always parked outside in direct sun during day and in freezing cold with ice and snow in winter. But, so far they are still going strong. I did order replacement OEM wipers and wiper blade refills from a dealer early on, but so far no need to use them yet.

Here is the profile of the OEM blade. See this thread: Wiper blade refills | PriusChat

Let us know when you install them.
I thought the were more difficult to install than on my 2010 or 2015

Sure thing if I remember it. I just don't know when I will be needing to replace my original OEM wipers. It is still working flawlessly even after two years. For my previous Gen3, I replaced with after market wiper blade. Never had to use a refill rubber.

Since attaching OEM wiper blade using the snap on attachment is so much easier, I also bought a set of OEM wiper blade at the time I ordered rubber refills. If I need to replace current wipers, I will just install them first, then work on the refill onto the old blade at my leisure time, and keep them as spare.

I'm changing wipers on these things every 12 months. Tired of buying so many/keeping stock on shelf. What do you think of silicone inserts?

I never had to change the OEM wiper on the 2017 PRIME over 2 years. This with car always parked outside, and wipers often frozen on the window during winter. I bought the OEM replacement a few months after buying the car but never had to use it. I traded my 2017 PRIME to 2020 PRIME a few months ago. I still have the OEM replacement wiper blades and rubber inserts, but I don't think I will be needing to change them if they are the same as 2017.
