Ok, so i bought a line level converter so I can use the stock HU with an amp. I pulled the HU out and found that the negative wires for the rear speakers aren't present for the rear. Fronts have the positive and negative but rears have just the positive wires. What do u do to connect to the negatives of the rear speakers? Any help would be appreciated. Here are some pix. In the diagram it shows a yellow and a white as the negative for the rear speakers. Where are these si u can finish the install? Anyone have a wire diagram that is more detailed of all the wires going into the stock HU? Thanks
on the smaller connector, the black wire is right rear + yellow is right rear negative red is left rear + white (under the red) is left rear negative.
It would work- the amp would turn on any time you turn on the ignition whether the radio was on or not.
perfect.just need to make the amp to turn on when HU is ON. I'll put an "on/off" button to the gap like additional control thank you for help
Is it possible to get similar diagrams for the rest of the oem connectors that come with the prius as the one quoted below.
That’s true, of course, for Prius c cars built for sale in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. As I mentioned in a previous thread, however, the Toyota Aqua is covered by a different series of manuals, and I wouldn’t assume that its wire harnesses are the same.
I’m guilty of assuming that the website in question was a gateway to all of Toyota’s published repair manuals- are you saying that techinfo.toyota.com is only good for US/CA/MX? Is there another site for others?
There are also websites for Europe and Australia, listed on the “Toyota Service Information and Where To Find It” page. The site for Japan (FAINES), however, doesn’t seem to be available to the public, even for a fee.
Im having a problem getting and voltage out of d/4 when i start the car, i tried putting an aftermarket radio in and after that didnt work i went back to original and it didnt work a fuse was blown but i replaced it. Any ideas?
