I'm selling my 2004 Silver Gen. II Prius as a parts car, that is, the engine doesn't run so you'd be buying the entire car either for parts or to try and get it running again. Has 300,000 plus miles. (Odometer stopped working at 300xxx, was a problem with the Gen. II's) Was a great running car before engine problem. It's sucking gas into the oil so it will need to be rebuilt. I can't afford that. Has a new hybrid battery with the newer designed bus bar, newer 12V battery, new factory stereo, full sized spare and many other newer parts. I'm asking $1000. (The hybrid battery alone is worth more than that.) Will not ship or tow. Pickup only.
Both batteries came from Toyota. They were installed by a professional shop here in St Louis that only works on Priuses and a few other import cars.
Ty for the tag I appreciate it. If I was closer I would jump on it. Sounds to me like the pistons are allowing gas to seep through to the crankcase. A misfiring cylinder or cylinders can allow massive seeping of unspent fuel and will eventually thin the oil, faulty fuel pressure regulator, faulty leaking injector......... someone needs this car it could be a quick fix with the same engine. I apologize for not responding sooner. Yes, I did. The car has been sold. Someone locally snatched it up off of FB Marketplace literally seconds after I posted it!
