If anyone is looking in MA, the Toyota of Braintree has a number of Primes. Bob Hadges was the internet sales guy that sent me a quote. They go right down to $2864 dealer discount on an XLE that had the decal, all weather mats and door edge guards. Ed Hayes was the matter of fact hybrid guy. No nonsense.

I don't believe I did, just financed the whole thing. I paid like 25.5k OTD for that car. Pretty much stole it, it was one of the last remaining 2017 around in 2018.

    Nice!
Planning on selling my 2018 too through Carvana and buy 2020 Prime to get the 5 seater. But my car has 34,500 miles already so I'm losing around $2k-3k if I do that.

Congrats, I thought I did well, but that beat it overwhelmingly.

Definitely try vroom.com. They offered more than 2k more for my Prime. I think they're new and trying to gain market share.

Trade-in will be the easiest. Perhaps upgrade to XLE. Get the car now and apply for the $1,500 CA CVRP rebate before the December 3 deadline, which will go away for good at that time.

Toyota Operation Black Friday Sales Event TV Commercial, 'Prius' [T2] - iSpot.tv

$2000 rebate (+500) on 2020 if y’all want to wait until Black Friday. This is from the advertising agency. The incentive hasn’t been officially announced yet, but will likely be the highest rebate this year.

Or $2500 rebate on 2019’s if you don’t want Apple CarPlay or a 5th seat.

Make sure to apply for the CA CVRP immediately because it's going away for good on December 3. Applications filed after that date will be rejected even if you bought the Prius Prime before that date.

To add on to my previous post, have any of you all tried primarily using the email method to determine which dealer will provide the lowest OTD price? Those that have, would you suggest going more traditional with doing all of the negotiating in person? Or is it possible to also be successful in securing a great deal through neogtiating mostly through email/phone and then walking into the dealership to finalize the deal only. Would love to hear from your experiences.

Hi. I recommend waiting to discuss incentives until you get the deepest dealer discount around. Also, I’d try several dealers. I got $24000 OTD with the $1500 CA Toyota rebate $500 triathlon discount and $3163 dealer discount. That does not include taxes. MSRP was $29k plus.

    +1

Lots of e-mails back and forth, and only when getting an offer that I was willing to take, did I actually call them. Worked out great and so less stressful! :)
