Wow, I just bought my 2020 Prime 2 weeks ago, I wish I would have known about this Uber driver thing, I would have enrolled just to get the $750 off. That’s a sweet deal.

    2020 Prius Prime LE
    MSRP - 28,879
    Dealer Discount - 2,879 including $1,500 Toyota Incentive (Sale Price = 26,000) + $90 Doc Fee
    - Discounts Uber $750 & USAT $500

= $24,840 before TTL. The part that kills me is IL tax rate is 9.75% ...

Looking to lock it up tomorrow based on another possible option in Maryland with an XLE @JJBuckley

If you want help working with them.. let me know. Happy to refer you to the right sales person. Had to play ALOT of hardball with them to get this price. I'll split the referral fee with you which is a measly $100 (so $50 each).

I bought from here also. They were very easy to work with and beat a good quote I had from down south. Are you in the San Joaquin Valley Air District? If so you can get an additional $2000 rebate! Also look if your power provider has a rebate. I was able to get $500 from PG&E. Enjoy your new car. I’ve been contemplating either upgrading to a new one or going full electric.

It is real. I drive 66 in the HOV2 lane as a single person in my Prime. This was the sole reason I traded in my 2017 Prius for the 2020 Prime as the rules changed. I have not been stopped by any cop I've passed on both 66 and dulles toll road. I found the relevant law as well.

Hi there.. I don't know who jim Coleman is at Koons. Specifically I dealt with Eastern Shore Koons and Chris Wilkes. I paid $27,040 for my blue XLE. Someone else saw my post and flew into buy one from Chris as well. Good luck.

I drive 55 miles one way to work. With full charge this morning I had 145 mpg. One the way home with no charge (work does not have a plug in for me...bloody annoying) i get 58 to 62 mpg.

I drive 66 daily and see plenty of single-occupied cars during $30+ toll hours; I doubt many of them actually pay. But back to the original question - you said you found the relevant law, care to share?

I said I'd post the deals I was able to negotiation here in an earlier thread since many of you seem to indicate they were the lowest we've seen, attached is 2 docs one with trade one without. This is on a 2020 XLE at a Maryland dealer. I haven't got the car yet but I will be happy to say which dealer after I have it in my possession this weekend.

OTD with trade in of 2017 Prime Premium 15k miles, FL Tax at 8.5%: $5,696.92
OTD with NO trade in, FL tax at 8.5%: 27,396.92 minus UBER discount which isn't on invoice = $26,646.92

Do you drive in the eco mode? Did you look up the altitudes for home and work? Uphill and downhill make a huge difference.

Thank you everyone for helping me save some money. I own a 2006 Prius 172K miles. This Prime is amazing. I love it more then I thought I would. Able to make my daily commute EV all the way.

Of course, that's definitely in there. However, I suspect that the altitudes are different as well.

For a 3,375 lb car doing a 1,000 ft climb, you need 1.27 kWh (gravitational potential energy = mgh). Prius ICE efficiency is about 40%; so, this translates into 3.2 kWh if you're running on gas. Electric motor and battery is probably more than 90% efficient.

Ah I see....I'm not talking about the part of 66 going from beltway to DC. It is true that the rule changed where no more single occupancy is allowed unless you pay the exorbitant tolls. I was working in DC. When that happened I got a new job. The 2.5 hour one way commute took its toll on me. Haha...get it?

I'm on 66 from Marshall to 28. You are right that neither VADMV or VDOT say anything about single occupancy in PHEVs. I'll try to find the letter VADMV sent me and post it here...it has the relevant law referenced.
