I have Prius 2012 , not going to ready mode won't Start the engine, Please help what I already did 1. Check the Orange service Plug 2. check the Converter Inverter 3. Checked the Hybrid Battery The Ready Light blink twice and disappear and two clicking sounds came fro HV battery.
Jumpstart the car with another 12v battery and the jumpstart terminal located under the hood. I suspect your battery is 8 years old and beyond its useful life.
It is clean title with 167k miles on it, from whom I bought it, he says it is parked at night and next morning won't start.
I will change the 12 v battery with another one to see if it can fix the issue . Yes I already tried to jump start it. The service plug is also OK
I have tried jump start it and it is clean title with 167k miles. What if the Transmission is bad? Will it effect the ready mode or starting the engine?
All the lights are on, today I removed the main hv battery and I found that its few cells are indicated 5.6 which is way low the actual volts should be 7.5. So thank you all the issue is resolved for now
Updates. I have install a used battery and the car get to ready mode but soon it drain the battery and engine get shut off. Any idea?
The white smoke is steam from the coolant getting into the cylinder(s). Probably a blown head gasket. Which would also cause the shaking and knocking because water won't burn.
Sounds like you bought a Prius v with a blown engine. A lot of jackass people do this and sell a blown hg Prius without disclosing it and then you find out after words
