You could check with Steve at autobeyours in Scottsburg, IN as he might have a recommendation in your general area for servicing as Louisville ain’t that far away :):

Prius hybrids sales and service Scottsburg Indiana

Good luck and keep us posted (y).

A local mechanic recommended that I NOT have the inverter and engine coolant changed.

He recommended just going with transaxel fluid change, spark plug replaced, oil change and throttle body cleaning...

    Thoughts?

Toyota USA schedule is engine coolant at 100K miles or 10 years, and inverter coolant at 150K miles or 15 years. Then both thereafter at 50K miles or 5 years. The schedule is a tricky read: it says do them both at 100K, then revises the inverter interval in a footnote (3?), which governs I guess.

FWIW, Toyota Canada says do both at 100K miles or 10 years. I even emailed them to verify, pointing out the US/CDN variation.

Did you ever hear back them to confirm the recommended schedule? I'm doing my engine coolant with the EGR circuit but will hold off on the inverter coolant to do delay the 50k intervals that follow.

Yes, and they confirmed (not surprisingly): both circuits at 10 years or 160k miles, whichever comes first.

    thanks for the reminder btw.
