That's definitely too expensive. Try TrueCar first, and then negotiate.

Can you link me to proof regarding this? So the 2019 model and 2018 model were 5k off during their same year of relief in addition to the dealer discount by end of year? also when it was at that price in the NE, how was pricing in SOCAL or california around the same time?

If that’s the case, I will buy another in January for another tax credit.

Check out the chart by reddie on the bottom of page 119 of this thread for January 2019 Toyota rebates. It looks like January 2018 Toyota rebates only got as high as $4K (nothing to sneeze at). You can see this by looking at prices paid starting on page 48 of this thread.

That's a good price, but you should easily be able to have it reduced by another $500.

Here is that table. Currently the rebate in New England is $1,500, which is drastically less than last year's. Given that fact there is little chance January 2020 rebate will be much higher than $1,500 if higher at all. It looks like these astronomical rebates for New England may have been discontinued.

    ($1500) Toyota Factory rebate/customer cash
    ($3219) dealer discount
    ($500) USA Triathlon member incentive
    ($750) Uber driver incentive

    upcoming rebates:

Tip: anyone can get those additional incentives. They stack and are from Toyota so the dealer isn't out any profit. Don't bring them up until after you've negotiated your lowest price.

Another PC user who got a max discount :) This is doable for anyone who tries. I got 3500 discount but it took hell of effort to move that last 250 extra. $3250 discount was obtainable without too much fuss, it seems to be the max discount most dealers will give in socal. You guys with the edison rebate are super lucky, down in san diego sdge doesn't give jack.

How did you get the uber discount? Did you need to get approval from uber ahead of time? Could a new buyers make an uber, drive a few people around, and then go in a get the discount? Let me know asap, thanks!

Also did you need financing for the usa triathlon discount to apply or could it be applied to a normal cash purchase?

Yeah, the combo of CA + SCE in addition to Fed rebates is why we even started to shop for a Prime!

Uber discount takes a couple-few days and a little "work", but not one single "drive"! If you read the incentive terms and conditions, all that is required is for the customer to provide a screenshot of an ACTIVE Uber driver profile. That's it. You can sign up, get approved (requires a qualifying car, background check, inspection, etc) and once Uber approves you (took 2-3 days for us), then you get the "active" driver profile and you're set. You don't have to give a single ride!
Triathlon was similar - sign up to become a member of USA Triathlon, $50 online. Print out a copy of the membership card and you're set. Didn't even wait for the real card to show up in the mail.
    Spent $80 to get $1250 :)

Each incentive has language that says it might not be applicable/combine-able with other discounts, but a bit of googling and we were set:
This page says that the Uber incentive is stackable: Toyota Uber Driver Incentive | Vacaville, CA
"The best part is the Uber Driver Incentive can be used in conjunction with other Toyota incentives."
and this dealership (in our County which helped) shows the $1500 and both incentives:
    New vehicles Santa Maria California

We financed with Toyota to simplify the purchase. It was not a requirement. Will likely refi with DCU or PenFed after applying rebate money to pay down the loan or simply pay it off early.

I thought the $1,500 CA rebate is wait listed and not guaranteed?

I got worried for a second, seeing as I just started our app yesterday! This is from the website:Clean Vehicle Rebate Project | Center for Sustainable Energy

Over $200M in Cap-and-Trade auction proceeds have been approved for the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) and are now available for both waitlisted and new applicants. The waitlist that started on June 5, 2019 has ended as of September 24, 2019, and CVRP is accepting new applications. Learn more about when waitlist applications will receive rebate checks in our FAQ

Mavi - its just your Uber driver profile page and the status would state "active". During the signup process your status could state "onboarding" or other.

Sorry I've been busy with the refill on my car loan. Finally closed with USAA with best rate of 3.39% for 60 mths. Compared to Toyota at 5.39% for 72 mths. That's a savings of over 4k in interest.

Also Koons Easton MD had a problem transferring my Va plate. They will refund me the $175 they charged me and I've sent the paperwork into va dmv myself. Dont know cost yet....

    Loving my prime!

Octoberrun, I have been searching in vain for your original post for price paid etc. I'm in VA and I think prices have tightened since they announced only PHEVs will be allowed free in HOV in Northern Va. I've been in touch with Koons and Jim Coleman. Will probably get Kia Niro instead as I don't like the Prime's lane keep assist. Also I am spoiled after getting a 2018 Premium out the door for $24,359 (Prime Toyota Boston last December). I don't think they'll have to discount the 2020s that much.

Where did you get this? Hybrid exemptions are pretty much obsolete now, and plug-ins have never been singled out.

Some news channel recently incorrectly reported upcoming changes, but if you check VDOT, there's nothing about PHEVs.

It's end of the month ask for 3250 off the longo price, so 1230 more.. and it'll be on par with what im seeing. they should accept.
