There we go. I got the same thing actually. 25.5k with a ton of back and forth . Guys go for a 3k dealer discount.. don't accept anything less. This is easily doable but just asking and letting the dealers know you got another dealer offering this. If they don't budge try 2.5k as I got like... 4 dealers that accepted that price range. Note that is 2.5k plus 1.5k customer cash not inclusive of it .they got a ton of room of these and these are not selling much according to the dealers I talked to so they are ready to deal .

Which dealer did you get it from, if you don't mind saying? :)

I have to say I'm pretty impressed with these aggressive offers on 2020's already. I got a 2019 two months ago in the Baltimore area with a little over 2k dealer discount + 3.5k customer cash. California residents were doing about 3k dealer discount + 3.5k customer cash.

For those who really need that 5th seat or have an iPhone to make use of Car Play, these are some nice discounts. With tax credits, it's remarkable just how cheap these are...even compared to regular Priuses.

Does that price include all the fee & tax? Also do you mind sharing the dealer location or name in MD?

That's pretty sweet deal. Which location/state is the dealer located?

Regarding prices the TrueCar price for the 2020 Prius Prime XLE is about $27,500. If you can get it around that price, you know you got a good price. Anything substantially less would be rare.

However, I see that the inventory is decreasing fast. My dealer had 32 2020 Prius Primes, and now, they have 12. If you want the color of your choice, you may want to get it now and not hold off.

That’s pretty much the same price we got for the Limited, same color. Absolutely love it - easy to find in a parking lot, beautiful in the sun. I’m also happy to have paid the extra for the Limited - worth it for us. I went to college in Appleton - it will be gorgeous with some snow on it

Not rare as far as pricing, just have to work at it to get it by bouncing verbal offers off desperate dealers. At the end of the month I have 0 doubt if you walk in on the last 2 days with the price in hand and push, they'll most likely cash. You may have to visit 5 dealers or so in person with that max price in hand but it'll work. With that said I'm not seeing the decline in inventory over here in socal/san diego yet.

I don't know what production numbers are like, but according to InsideEVs, sales numbers for the Prime are significantly lower than last year, so I agree - it seems unlikely that overall inventories are down. Last year Jan-Sept they had sold 20,523. This year Jan-Sept has only seen 15,705 sales. I'm holding my breath waiting for significantly bigger Toyota incentives in the northeast.

Ok got my 2020 XLE Silver today. The price is $26,802 (after $1500 rebate & $2411.17 dealership discount) and I paid with taxes and tags, a total of $28,376.10. (Am VA resident and bought it from southern MD dealer)

When I tried getting a VA dealer to match the price, a sales manager told me if I go with MD pricing , I won’t get my full Federal EV credit. WTH!!!

I had so many dealers lie to me and make things up. Much of it is nonsense. You can claim credits whether you register it under.

Fyi, Many people don't know but truecar is a site that dealers provide pricing to in order to create the idea of a deal. Truecar makes money through the dealers paying them a cut of each sale .The prices on truecar are usually easily 1k from where you can take them with minimal effort. I use them to provide a starting point for my negotiations. I've tried with Hyundai, kia, and Toyota dealers so far and it held true with all of them.

TrueCar is a tool that gives you an idea of what a fair price is. It doesn't tell you the best possible price. Of course, negotiation always helps.

Most people don't have time, energy, and nerves to go from dealer to dealer and engage in tough negotiation. Some people need a car right away, and others don't even have a car to go around the nearby counties. If you can do it, it's great.

Nevertheless, the local inventories here are almost gone and you may be stuck with a color you don't want if you've been waiting. Culver City Toyota had 32 2020 Prius Primes when I was shopping six weeks ago. They are now down to 5 XLE and 2 Limited. Only blue, gold, and red are available for the XLE and black and red for the Limited. I don't know what's going on but they will soon be gone, too. So, waiting is not always the best thing if you want and need a particular car. It may be better to pay a little more and then be happy with it and enjoy it as soon as possible.

I am in CT and trying to replace my 2017 Prius Prime Adv with 2020 Prius Limited, due to apple car play and 5 seats. Did anyone buy a Limited in New England with dealer discount other than $1500 rebate? If yes, what is the max I can get? I checked from few dealers one is offering Limited MSRP:34839, After discount (1443) and rebate (1500) : 31896 and Out of the door: 34706.

    Thanks
