Actually, yesterday. Had new tires put on. I got just over 60,000 on the 80,000 Continental True Contacts.
So I got a rebate on them. I was very happy with them. Never lost grip, even in the pouring rain with flooded roads.
Only once did it feel a little hydroplaning where there was a slight drop in the road where water built up, but only minor.
The Bridgestone's the were on it when I bought it where right at the wear bars so they didn't last long, but were
fairly noisy. The True Contacts were not as noisy as those, but not too bad, at least for me. The stock radio overrode
    the noise. :)
I replaced them with: COOPER EVOLUTION TOUR 195/65R15 91T
They cost less and from the reviews seemed to be okay. They are only 60,000 so I'll see how that goes.
And it gives me a chance to try a different tire. I may try Michelin tires when these go if I don't like them or they
don't get the miles, or are bad in the rain.

I've only put about 10 miles on them and only about 1/2 at 55mph and already they are quieter. So that's good.
I'll be putting about 300 miles on them tomorrow on I-95 so that will be the real test as I've driven it several times
so I'll be able to get a truer test.

So no estimate of the older tires MPGs of it’s life on your car?

I average 47mpg. Tire pressure is 36psi front and back. I went to 38, but the ride was too hard and noisy.
I average 65mph, 80% of my driving in highway.
On the trip tomorrow I usually average 52mpg. I'm hoping to be about the same, maybe better.
Unless I get up late, then I'll drive 70, and the mileage will drop. Unlesssssss, I can stay 1.5 seconds behind
    a semi.
"I got just over 60,000 on the 80,000 Continental True Contacts." from original post... :)

Also, you can see where they damaged the lip of the rim installing the true contacts.
I was PISSED! After fighting with them, they said tough! Take us to court.
But I no longer fight with them, it's not worth the stress on me.
I just "acquire" a certain amount of merchandise, and give it to a "person" and they sell it.
Then they give me what I need and they keep the rest. :)

I was telling the guy to be careful because the plastic is riding on the rim. But he didn't care.
I only wished I had the money for a tire machine and balance machine.

Installed new speakers in all four doors. Paired with the fat mat sound deadening material, music never sounded better in the Pri. Road noise has greatly been reduced. The ride quality mimics my mom's Lexus Rx350. It's oh so quiet! Road trip?:D:D:D

Also, nice muffler and tail pipe.. does less back pressure on the Prius actually help?

    Hi jchoi808,

We sent out the solution for the engine cover nearly 1 month ago. I will resend your ball stud this week.

    Sincerely,

Just bought a new-to-me 2015 Prius 4 about a month ago. Been watching all of ya do some crazy stuff to them and decided I wanted to do something too. Mind you I know nothing about cars, so we're tackling challenges that I think should be a quick unplug-this-plug-that-in.

Didn't like the amber foot-lamps, so I changed them to blue. Got them from a Japanese website, can't remember the name.

Also wanted to start changing some of my Prius' lights to LED's. So far I've done...
    -Map lights
    -Courtesy door lights
    -Dome light
-Trunk light (the one on the side)
-Parking LED (the ones in the front)
    -Vanity mirror lights

    Got these from PrecisionLED.

I have to say that I'm loving this little car. :D

Max, I have the funds to purchase. Is it ok to purchase now? Or is the configuration of the bullet being changed, or, is the permament solution utilizing the raised ball studs?

    Hi Montgomery!

I'm so thrilled you are gonna pull the trigger on the Red Bullet. The ball stud version will go on a Prius Gen 3 with good clearance. Zero engine cover issue. Raised ball stud will be the fix.

Great to hear from you! And hope that you are doing well!
